Room only AAA question?

We are planning a trip in January. I'm hoping for an AP discount but thought I should book now with the AAA discount and than phone them if an AP comes out. We are not sure if we are going for a week or ten days. Can I book with for the ten days and than cancel some if we change our minds without losing any money? Last time we had booked a package through CAA the TA couldn't change the number of days we had tickets purchased for even though it was more than 45 days out so I didn't know if there was any special booking rules with CAA.

I don't think you should have a problem booking for 10 days then cancelling the extra ones if you decide you can only stay a week. I've done that before.

I just asked this questions a couple of days ago when I added the AAA discount to my ressies. We have room only ressies (didnt go through AAA office) and the CM said no problem. We have 10 nights booked, but may have to take off one or 2 nights depending on what flights we can get.
