What is Disney's occupancy policy for a family of 5? Is a family w/2 adults and 3 children, allowed to stay in a one bedroom villa and do any or all of the DVC resorts offer folding sleeping carts in a one bedroom villa? What do other families of 5 do for accommodations? Any comments appreciated. Thanks

A one-bedroom usually is for a family of 5 only when one of the children is in a crib. No they will not rent sleeping cots, and you will only be given four sets of towels, and they will not supply extra bedding. It all depends on the age of your kids.

We're also a family of five; two adults our three "musketeers." :-D

Right now, I'm researching renting DVC points for our next Disney visit. (Don't know when - but there will be a next time!)

Is Disney really strict about the occupancy in the one-bedroom villa? Because our kids are pretty flexible and would enterain the idea of bringing an air mattress for one of them to sleep on.

The Poly concierge was absolutely fabulous on our last visit. The pre-planning staff was an absolute godsend for me since I was still "re-learning" how to hear after my cochlear implant and not yet confident on the phone. However, I am liking the idea of having a king-sized bed for dh & I AND the jacuzzi!!!:hyper:

It would be nice to be at the Beach Club again. :beach:

My family has stayed at Saratoga Springs and Old Key West in a 1 bedroom.
There was 5 of us all adults. We were allowed to do this, and the only thing Disney said was that they would not supply linens for the 5th person. We have done this about 4 times.

Hi Debbie, I am going to OKW in a 1 bdrm on Sunday :cool1: , how did you guys sleep? It is hubby and I , and 3 kids. I am thinking of an air mattress. The kids are 5, 7 and 9. SO if you adults did it, I'm sure we would fit.

Thanks
Isabel

does it really matter where you sleep. you are at disney world. Id prefer to sleep on a disney floor than my own bed.

As previous posters have indicated, Member Services currently is allowig 5 people in a one bedroom unit. There are no rollaway beds or cots available, towels and bed linens will not be supplied for the 5th person. You will need to bring a sleeping bag or air mattress with linens. You can get an extra pack of 4 towels and washcloths from housekeeping for a $6 charge.
