Room not ready, but want to use the pool??

I know we should carry our suits in case our room isn't ready (AoA), and even if it is, our luggage may not show up in a timely matter. So, if we pack suits in our carry on, where can we change into them if the room is not ready, where can we put our carry ons, and where can we get towels? Thank you!

Not sure where you are staying but many of the resorts have restrooms by the pool where you could change. Towels are provided.

Those are great questions! And I don't know the answer either, but am interested! I know there are bathrooms near the pool, so you could change there. I'm not sure where you could put your carryons...I wonder if they have lockers or anything? I do know there are no towels at the pool - you are supposed to bring one from your room. I wonder if you could request a towel when you check in, or if you will have to bring one of your own?

Most of the resorts have bathrooms and some have showers by the pool area. AKL has both showers and Lockers !! Either way after you change you can leave your bags with bell services until your room is ready.

If this is your plan you may want to have a separate beach bag for your pool items. Remember if you fly your sunscreen will have to be in 3.4oz size and in your 3-1-1 bag.

All the WDW resorts have plenty of towels at the pools - in fact they discourage you from using room towels.

You can get towels at the front desk if there are none at the pools. (depends where you are staying). Also, you can leave your carry ons at Bell Services and just pick them up again when you get your room.

We have left our carry-on bags with the bellhop staff in the lobby when our room wasn't ready. You will get a receipt and can come back later to pick them up. We have done this and it worked out really well.

There aren't any towels at the pools at value resorts. You're supposed to use the ones from your room. If you aren't checked in yet, you'll have to go and ask at the front desk for a towel.

There are bathrooms near the pools so you can change there with no problems. You leave your carry ons with Bell Services with no problem. If you are staying at a value resort, just ask at the front desk for pool towels (and you can do that at check in since that's when you will know your room isn't ready) with no problem. If you are at a moderate or deluxe resort, towels will be at the pool with no problem.

So - it's no problem.

Yeah, we spent a very fruitless 20 minutes one time searching the POP pools for towels when my daughter was "cold".

Actually ASMu does have towels at the pool. I don't know why that value resort is different but for some reason they are. We've done what the OP is talking about at POP, AKL and OKW. We've always managed to find somewhere to change.

Not Exacttly true....at the value resorts, you are told to bring them from your room and that you can request extras from mousekeeping as they are NOT provided poolside.
