Just made a reservation with CRO (verified not travel club), and when I made cc deposit I was informed full payment had to be made 21 days prior to arrival. Asked since when this had to be, and she said it always has been the policy since she's been there. Told her I've been going to WDW since 1971 and never had to do this. Last stay was in March this year. She rechecked and couldn't find this policy in computer. Have we got a right hand not knowing what the left is doing? Has the Policy changed?

Has anyone else come across this?

I booked the Poly this morning and made sure the CM went over payment and cancellation policies. Had to put one night down on my credit card and the rest of my payment is due at check in. I can cancell up to 5 days before and was even told if there was extenuating circumstances to just call CRO and they would try to help. I'll have to see what my confirmation says when I get it.

I think Lisa3's CM was correct. Balance at check-in and you can cancel up to 5 days out.

Your CM apperently dosn't know the difference between WDWTC and CRO. They are in the same building and sometimes answer each others overflow calls. I would call back and change it.

If you book with CRO/Room only, deposit within 14days of the
booking and balance due at check-in.

If you book with CRO/Package (Resort, Discovery, Deluxe Magic
or Grand Plan), deposit due within 14 days of the booking and
balance due 21 days prior to arrival.

Walt Disney Travel Co., requires a deposit within 14 days
and final payment is due 45 days prior to deposit.

If you book within 45 days of arrival, full payment is due at
booking.

Hi manning! Some other posters already mentioned this, but I just thought I'd add my own experience, too.

I recently booked my trip to Disney with the WDTC. I booked a Discovery Magic package for 2 adults. My deposit was due within 14 days, and my balance is due 21 days before arrival. I believe that if you book a package, you have to pay your balance 21 days before arrival. However, if you book a room only ressie, you can pay your balance at check-in. Did you book a room only or a package?

It wasn't a package, just AP rate. I verified that it was CRO. I think I better call back and verify again. All I need is a foul up by Disney!!!

I just booked also and was told deposit in 14 days and balance 21 days before arrival. This is a package though so you might want to call back and check.

Room only using the Disney Club discount go thru WDT, so $100 is due at booking and full payment is due 21 days prior to arrival. You can cancel up to 5 days. I booked this for December travel and sent in my $100. When the codes came out, I had to cancel thru WDT (DC Discount) and book thru CRO using codes, then when the AP rates came out I used CRO to modify reservation. I still have to send in my one nights deposit. My credit card was already credited for the $100 WDT-DC reservation.
Confusing, but Disney Club members using WDT to book room only have different cancellation rules than other WDT bookings.
