Room Assignment Satisfaction Poll

Not sure why some are so worked up over the poll? It reads clear to me. Did our last room assignment meet all, all important but not all other, some important but not all important or none of our requests.

Easy to answer and easy to interpret. With 325 votes, for the last trip of those voting 57% had all requests met and an additional 31% had all important requests met.

Visited BWV in March; had preferred boardwalk view (more points) studio.

Requested N/S due to medical reasons and non-H/A.

Neither one of these was granted, despite the fact that we arrived at 11 AM and had to wait until 4:25 PM to get into our room.

Honestly, would rather have been at VWL, OKW, or SSR (all of which were available when I booked in December) than at BWV if I'd known I was going to have a smoking, HA villa. Not worth the points.

I totally agree! In fact if I knew I would have HA and smoking, I would not take the trip. THAT IS AWFUL! Frankly, I would have refused the room assignment. Sandie

I voted somewhat dissatisfied. We had a BW view studio reserved for the first week in May. The only request we made was for an upper floor, didn't have to be the top floor, just an upper floor. Didn't care about smoking/non. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and wanted a nice view and a balcony we could sit on and enjoy the view. Made the reservation at 7 months out.

Didnt read to the end of the thread so someone else may have noted this...you actually had two requests one of which is guarenteed...the Boardwalk view. BWV has far fewer units that would meet your guarenteed room and your request than they do of simply units on an upper floor. Which doesnt make you any less dissatified of course but is something to keep in mind for future reservations.

Last trip was OKW in early Nov '04.
Had 2 requests (made ressies 10 months out) :
1) N/S
2) water view

Checked into OKW at 3:30 pm. Room ready. Had 1st floor, N/S, great water view in bldg 62. Extra added bonus : could see/hear Illuminations from our patio every night.

Most of the time our requests have been met. Once our most important request was not met (OKW 1 bdrm, with 2 bath entrences), but they moved us right away. The second time was the first night SSR was open and our non-smoking for health reasons request was met with a room that had not been smoked in before.....However, we came home late the first night to find our room full of smoke becuase the adjoining room had big time smokers in it. We were moved, but not easily or very nicely.

WDW LOVR didn't have two "requests." S/he had one.

BW view is a category of reservation, based on an allotment of points; it is not merely a "request." (Sometimes, you want BW view; but sometimes, when you call MS, standard view villas are not available at BVW, so you go for it.). At any rate, WDW LOVR simply asked for an upper floor to go along with his/her BW view reservation.

While there are fewer BW view upper floor villas, it may be that WDW LOVR did not have a choice with regard to boardwalk view/standard view availability. This could have resulted in even greater disappointment!
