What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Looks like we're taking my MIL out for dinner tonight. First we have to pick up a recliner we're borrowing so our younger son has somewhere to sleep while recuperating from shoulder surgery he's having Friday. It'll be a while before he'll be able to comfortably sleep in his bed, it sounds like.

Cheesy chicken and rice bake here. Using up some shredded rotisserie chicken. Made it this morning and am so glad dinner is done!

It was my last day in the office and I couldn’t seem to get out of there so I picked up BBQ on the way home. DH had burnt ends with Mac and cheese and green, I had their fall salad with chicken and cornbread with honey butter.

Our friends our hosting a Christmas boat parade viewing party and are having hibachi for dinner. Should be fun!

We're cooking tonight as DW's office Christmas luncheon is tomorrow. And he's making 3 things. So not sure what we'll do. Might have to go the sandwich rout since the oven will be being used to cook. DW mentioned going to grab something and bring it home, but I don't really want to spend money eating out. So we shall see who wins this battle.

DH picked up sushi on the way back from a short work trip.

I went to 3 grocery stores and some how managed to not buy anything for dinner.

I had chicken breasts in the fridge and I rummaged around and I’m making chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and honey glazed roasted carrots.

I made a Fall Harvest salad with chicken, kale, roasted butternut squash, apples, Craisins, pecans and goat cheese. It was delicious!

Lots of good things for all the holiday parties I’m attending, I just didn’t think to grab anything for dinner. It all worked out!

Pizza. It was supposed to be cheeseburgers (LittleGuy is overnight, the burgers were his request) so I thawed out some patties. They were just too old, dry and hard on one side. I cooked them anyhow, but this did not improve the quality, hahaha. We noshed on the smiley fries and broccoli that were supposed to accompany the burgers while waiting for the pizza to be ready.
