Hi. An upcoming DVC resort reservation has online check-in selected. If a guest listed on the reservation arrives before the DVC members, can they go to the front desk and obtain a room key, or does the member need to be present? Thanks!

If they're listed as a guest in the room they can go in themselves. If they are electronic check-in they may not even need the front desk if they have a phone or magic band.

IME as the lead guest on the reservation I get the room ready text at which point everyone on the reservation has access to the villa via their magic band (or phone - I’ve not used my phone for access so have no first hand experience w/ using a phone for entry.) I then forward the villa # to others on the reservation so they’ll know which villa to go to.

Well that is the issue, they won’t have the magic band yet, we will have them. We also have never used the phone access so are unfamiliar with it. Thus my question if they could just go to the front desk and get a key card, as they will arrive first.

Yes, they can get a key card from the front desk.
