Corral question from the 10k, HM, and M for this past MW!
This has to do with corrals D and later.
I remember there being a 2nd D corral next to the main (and very, very full) D corral. Was this a fever dream? I also don't recall if it was for the HM, the M, or both. As I stood in the crowd of people for an hour plus, because of course we stand up and squish to the front horrifically early, I watched a few hundred people file into the empty corral next to us. That corral had been empty the entire time, and they were released into the walk-to-the-start-chute after the corral I was in. My assumption is that this was a 2nd D corral for late-comers, and also allowed plenty of space in the event that there was a medial issue or other emergency within D corral. I know that there was discussion about it somewhere, and the thought was that it made the corrals more manageable, allowed people with non-POT corrals to actually be in the *correct* corral and not overload the later corrals and have a more reasonable "cap" for number of people in a given space while still allowing people to be in their assigned corral.
Can anyone confirm this? Did E/F/G corrals have this?
