Romance in WDW

thanks for the congratulations guys! We will be in the world tomorrow and we are staying at the polynesian. It was a last minute trip decision but we both needed a weekend break. anyone going to be around that weekend?

My and I were both down there last weekend. Saturday at the MK for the 40th (open to close... that was a long day....), and then Sunday morning/afternoon at EPCOT followed by MNSSHP that night.

In addition to looking for my prince in the parks I am a runner and I keep hoping I will find my single prince at one of the Disney running events... I will be running the Tinkerbell Half Marathon in January hoping to run into a lost boy or two.

Hi,

I'm single, currently unattached, never married and not looking. I find that if I try too hard to find someone, I scare women off. If I don't try at all; well, nothing happens. The one time it did, I screwed it up by acting like a teenager with his first love. If I'm going to Disney, or anywhere, it's to have fun, whether or not it is with anyone.

well guys I can say that this does happen! i went solo in june of this year and so did my now boyfriend. we met on the boards and decided to meet up so he joined in some amazing star wars festivities with me during star wars weekends. yes i am the star wars junkie not him lol. we hung out for the rest of our trip there off and on when we weren't doing other stuff on our own and our first kiss occurred on the balcony of the contemporary resort facing cinderella's castle cheesy I know.

so then he cancels some flights and stays for two extra days with me and we have a blast. then the logistics come in to play he lives in chicago i live in austin, tx. It is a good thing he has a flexible job because he is now in the process of moving to austin and he comes to see me as often as he can. I am a teacher so I have a less flexible situation.

believe it or not and criticize this part if you want but to me when you know you just know there is an engagement coming even though i dont know when but i can say that I have been instructed to begin planning our disney world wishes wedding for december of 2012.

so excited!

Our story is VERY close to this....met on the Disboards...met for the first time in MCO....first kiss on the boat to DTD from OKW and I moved 1 year later 1100 miles North. Engaged in the secluded Picture Spot between Asia and Africa in AK. Married in a Wishes Ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion. It can and does happen!

If WDW really is the place where dreams come true, that would be the place I'd find my Mr. Right. 34 and still looking. I never really thought about looking for single guys while visiting the World. I assume everyone is married with kids.

I better keep my eyes open.

I'm going to WDW for the first time in a few months for my honeymoon, so I'm definitely NOT available...but I wish you good luck!

I hope you meet your ideal person at WDW! Maybe there is a singles group at WDW? or a Meetup or something?

I am only 18 so I've never done a solo trip, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE walking around the parks on my own. I let my mom and her boyfriend go off on their own and ill go do whatever i want in WDW. I absolutly love it. I'm going in 12 days and I cant wait to get my alone time with WDW in.
Everytime im alone I ALWAYS day dream of meeting a fellow disney lover and how romantic it would be. There would be no better place to meet someone

In September, Linda, my wife and best friend, of almost 20 years passed away. She was only 40 yrs old. This was after a short 4 month battle with cancer but a long summer of doctor visits and multiple week or longer hospital stays for her. I spent the days in the hospital with her and the nights alone in our room. Even when she was home she spent most of the time on a couch in our family room downstairs. Thank God I have 4 wonderful children ages 12-18. We had our last trip to Disney World only 3 months before she got sick. One last fond memory. On another trip in October 2008, we had a serious discussion and decided it was time to buy a DVC membership. I am so glad we did now.

I am considering a short 3-4 day trip towards the end of winter or early spring for just me without the kids. I just need a few days of me and an ECV scooting around without the pressures of single fatherhood for a few days. I am a romantic at heart and love the notion that so many people like the idea of finding their prince or princess at the World. Wish Upon A Star everyone!

I'm in the Chicago western suburbs if anyone would like to touch base or chat sometime.
