It sounds like you had the most wonderful trip! I was lucky to be able to volunteer at GKTW Village when I was doing the Disney College Program this past spring...so fun! I know that Wish Trips are so special to the families who take them, and I'm happy that cast members did their best to help you have a great time! <- that's you, grumpy, and the kids!

Another terrific installment - that Braeton = what a pistol! Allthose rides on splash. good for him.

I get so mad about people in handicapp bathrooms. I was waiting outside the companion restroom in epcot during food and wine and three drunk women came out. I figgered it was a waste of time to say anything.

Thank You for sticking with me! I do need to share more details of the chair and some of the issues w/ Braetons and Shannons challenges for those that may be reading for info for similar circumstances. I know that's how I chose where we ate and had some of the BR breaks planned out. Also I will try to give specifics on which rides were easy to transfer on and which ones took a little longer. We transfered mainly. He did get to where we used the w/c more but for the most part he wanted out when he could, but of course he isn't normally in his chair all day either.
I wasn't sure about sharing the asparagus story, but was scared if I didn't tell the real story that SOME might start making it up!!!!!

I really hope you get to shower with soap! It could be a bad thing if you're stuck in Florida and you don't use soap when you shower!

We met some awesome CMs that were part of the college program. That had to be one of my favorite parts, talking to all the different ones, finding out where they were from etc... I know you had to be thrilled to have gotten in. AND to volunteer at GKTW. You are one special person!!! Thanks for joining in on our fun!! There is more to come. Hopefully by tomorrow!!!

Oh yes he is a pistol! And everyday no matter which park we were in I would hear, "But Mom I REALLY want to go on Splash Mountain. You know the Zippee one."
Amd yes it would've been a waste of breath to say anything to the women.
I don't get aggravated at women with more than 1 child or women with strollers and definatly not at Daddies or MOms having to take children of the opposite sex in. But oh well I better hush or I'll get on my soap box again!!! But I do feel for you!!!

Yes I was pretty freaked! It still makes me a bit nausous to think about it!!!

Hey LeeLee!! I finally got myself caught up! What an awesome day! I wished we would have had the chance to mee Captain Jack Sparrow, but alas, it was not to happen. DH would have loved that!! Now off to finally do an update on my TR!!

Hey LeeLee It seems i've been gone for quite awhile you sure got lots of work done on your TR!!!! I just finished reading it all and it sounded like your first day was an absolute, awesome one!!! I can't believe even more magical stuff happens the next day. I'm excited to read about it though, now that I think about it I'm excited to see what park you go to as well!!!!

Make sure you don't leave us hanging toooooo looooong. Actually I shouldn't be talking considering I haven't did an update on my TR for almost a month!!! I am working on one though and now that christmas and new years is over I have lots more time on my hands after clinicals and work...

I'm also trying to make mine a little more detailed. You do such a great job on giving us all the details and I love it. and I figure since there's not really too many TR's describing older kids wishes to Disney that it would be a perfect way to do so. Now I just have to work on adding photo's and I'll be all set!!!!!

Hi all!!! Everything is o.k. For us anyway!!! Braeton is recovering from a rather nasty bout with strep, Shannon had a couple of surgeries 2 weeks ago and is sceduled for another catheter replacement Fri. Our house is up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Windows and Front and Back Doors are in. Utility shed is up. It's all ready for shingles and siding next Sat!!!!
Galveston trip went great. I started a mini TR about it on Ddads thread since his is on the community board. As soon as I get the 2nd and final half done, I will post the links.
I didn't want to get too far off topic on here.
Thanks for being patient with me. I am fixing to post a very short Tr on Day 3!!!!

Heading "home" that night was really neat. The boys were exhausted, Tyler was hungry, but they couldn't stop talking about their day. The only thing Tyler wished was different is he wanted to watch the Pirates Tutorial. O.k. that is not the full truth, he wanted to be IN the Pirate's tutorial. He had watched a clip on you tube and THAT was he had been thinking about!

O.k. Mom WTG!!! Get your kid all excited about being in something that he has about a 10% chance of being in!!! I won the best parent award for that!!!

Now I had explained to him, that their was a good chance he might not get picked. That all the kids their would probably want to be in it and if we didn't get chosed then were we still going to be good sports and watch, cause that would still be fun wouldn't it??? (Crossing my fingers and hoping, praying say yes say yes Well say yes Ma'am!!)
He said Yes ma'am he still wanted to watch it but he really wanted to fight Cap. Jack. So all was well in our house hold. Then Braeton started telling everyone he was going to be a Pirate. He was going to fight with Cap Jack. The same speech didn't work with him. "But MOM it's my wish trip and my wish is to fight with Cap. Jack!!!!!"
No, Braeton. Your wish was to see Mickey Mouse and Pooh Bear and you are getting to meet all these neat characters and going to do lots of fun things just because of that Wish. Isn't that GREAT!!!!??

Well now my wish is for Cap Jack.

This was all the last few wekks before the trip. So anyway we are talking over our day on the bus and Tyler is lamenting the fact he didn't get to fight with Cap Jack but the meeting with him was pretty awesome. Well his words was "That Rocked!!!" From my 8 year old I know!!

So we decide that IF we had time we would try to hit the Pirates Tutorial tomorrow, depending if some certain someones could get theirselves UP and out of Bed when their MOm was gently trying to awaken them!!

So we get back to the Beach clup, say good bye to some really nice people on the bus whom Braeton had entertained until he fell sound asleep in mid sentance!!! grab something from the Market Place and head up to the room. I can't remember what we ate, but I know we grabbed some kind of fruit or something from the Market Place and we had a WHOLE suitcase of snacks we had brought. so we grabbed whatever and started getting ready for bed. The boys crashed as soon as their heads hit the pillows. Shannon wasn't too far behind. I got all our clothes ready for the next day. Thanking whomever I got the "Pack each days clothes in a Ziplock idea from." Yes I ironed them. So sue me. I wanted to be wrinkle free for about 10 min!!! Jumped in the shower. S L O W L Y got out got ready for bed and thought I would join the rest in the slumber arena and laid there. And laid there.
And laid there. And turned to my left. And turned to my right. And curled up in a ball. And stretched way out. Then I tried laying with my head on the floor and my feet on the bed. Then I stood on my head in the corner. O.k. I'm lying about the last 2 but suffice to say I was bery restless. So I get out my journal and start trying to write notes about the day. I get to the parade and "Mommy I need you!" It was Braeton trying to crawl in Bed with me. I had zonked out and it was EARLY in the a.m. So we go Potty and then lay back down. "Mommy I need to sleep in your bed."
"Braeton your bed is right by mine."
"I know but I NEED to sleep with you. Katies scared!" Katie is his stuffed build a bear Boxer. She looks like my sisters Boxer therefore she has the same name.
" And I got the fuzzies!"
"O.k. Baby climb in.
The Fussies is what he calls his legs when he is having muscle spasms. So rub rub rub massage, massage, mass..........................
The next thing I hear is BEEP BEEP BEEP ARGHHHHHHHH
THIS IS VACATION!!!! Why do we have alarms???

Because we are at Disney World for the first time and maybe the only time in our lives. We can't miss a moment of it!!!

I had set the alarm a few min before we were to get our wake up call, so I could surprise the boys.
RING RING, them boys werent budging. I answered the phone and heard Stitches loverly voice, telling me to get MOVING!!

" I'm trying but THEY won't budge!!! FUss at them not me I tell you.
So I go get myself a nice shower, because with Braeton and the parks combined I wanted to enjoy a few minutes of cleanliness. I get all dressed, make sure I have what we need in the backpack. Get extra clothes for the boys. My lovely Husband gets dressed and disappears on me. WHERE IS HE??? He knows I've got to get these kids going or we will miss most of the day.
We had a 1:30 ADR for Chef Mickeys and I knew going to and from would kill part of our day and I didn't know exactly how far away it was or anything, so anyway I'm doing all of Braetons stretches and exersices with him sound asleep and trying to wake Tyler up. the whole time. He wasn't having it.
Finally Shannon walks in with a bag.
"Where have you been?"
"I went and ate some Breakfast."
"WHAT???"
And then I went and got you these.
He pulled out batteries and 3 Ponchos since we couldn't seem to find 2 of ours.
We have those $ ones. I know but I thought the kids would like thes. They have Mickey Mouse on them.
Awwwww Don't you just love someone who gets in the Disney mood AND is willing to part with $$$$$!!!

So we FINALLY get the kiddos dressed, Braeton is still half out of it. Now for a side note.

We had agreed that we would go with the flow when it came to Braeton. If I pushed him to get up and at it too early or too much it could really mess him up and the rest of his trip. So with him already not feeling good and the change in the weather and all I wasn't looking at the clock!!!!

Why is Braetons legs so stiff today???

We hug Daddy since he isn't going with us this morning He has Dialysis.

We go to the Market place and buy Pal mickey a Rain outfit and then we were off!!!!!!!!

Now something very unexpected not too out of the ordinary, but really nice happened to us at the MK that morning, but I'll have to let ya'll know that next time.
