I just came back from Busch Gardens with the Fl Rest. special 2 days for the price of 1. It has been about 17 years since I've been to the one in Tampa and all I can say is OMG are the coaster's AWSOME. My DS and I had the best time ever. The only down fall is if the weather is real nasty they close the rides down. Waited 2 hours to get on one ride, but at least we were dry while we were waiting.........

The best rides IMO were SheiKra,Kumba,Gwazi,Scorpion,Montu.
They also have 3 water rides and when I say you'll get wet trust me I got soaked on the Conga River Rapids. So wear a bathing suit.

We didn't see any of the shows, because what 13 yo wants to sit around and do that when all they wanted to go on was the coasters. So when I came home I told DH next trip will be for him and I so we can do everything the 13 yo didn't want to do. But this trip was for him so I can't really complain.

I also wore my Payless "CROCS" sandels and my feet were very HAPPY during the whole trip.

I am glad you enjoyed yourself. We are going back this year, last time we went was 7 years ago. Boy has that time flown by.

Have you read any problems about people having delays getting back to Orlando due to roadworks on the I4, I appreciate that you live in South Florida.

Glad you had a good time. BGT has a hit with Sheikra.

An idea for the two of you is to go back in October for Howl-O-Scream. You can visit the park in the morning, go back to your hotel in the afternoon to rest, then come back at night and go thru the mazes.
Let the kid spend the night with a friend while you go up. He'll be jealous and beg to go with you, saying he'll sit thru the shows.

Where in South Florida are you? I'm in Plantation.

just returned from Orlando on 7/1. we went to Busch Gardens on 6/29. It only took us 1 hr to get to Tampa and 1 hr 15 mins. to get back to Orlando. There is construction on I 4 but we must have lucked out because there was not backups or accidents. It took us longer to get back because of heavy thunderstorms. There was long backups heading out of Orlando as we were returning because of accidents and rain. Sheikra is awesome.
