DH and I are surprising our DS3 and DS8 with their first trip to california disneyland and we are not telling them until the day we leave. We have also convinced my mom and dad to come and join in on the magic with us. The last time we went was 20 years ago and so I am so excited! We will be staying at the desert inn and suites for two nights and then moving to the disneyland hotel for the other 5 nights. My parents dont know we are transfering to DLH so that will be a major surprise for them. When i was a little girl I wanted to stay there so badly and my dad said that one day we would....now im making it happen!!! So many surprises, so much fun, i think i'm going to burst!!!

Yup with 6 you would need to 2 rooms or a 2 bedroom DVC unit at VGC. Our large trips are with DVC points which is why I'm out of points at the moment.

I would have a hard time with that which is why we now have DD & DSIL going with us in Sept.

We'll be there on Sept 23, 24, 25, and maybe for half a day on the 22nd depending on how tired the kids are after traveling all day. We came to disneyland last year at pretty much the same time, partially for the lower crowds, but also because ladt year DS turned 2 the week after we returned, so it was a free plane ride for him and free in the park. This year he turns 3 the week after we get back and we've booked a package with westjet where kids fly free. So DD(5) and DS(almost3) only get charged tax for the flight. We couldn't pass up the deal and perfect timing. Feel a bit bad pulling DD out of school for three days when she will have just started kindergarten, though.

Can't wait to see Cars Land, and I really want to ride Pirates because it was closed last time we were there. Waiting for next week to make reservations for Minnie and friends breakfast and maybe Ariel's, but going back and forth on this because of the price.

Haven't told the kids yet. DD's birthday is this Saturday, so we're going to wait until the birthday excitement wears off to give her the news. I think she already knows, though, because when we drove by the local airport last week, she said "are we going to disneyland right now? Did you bring my suitcase?"

Sounds fantastic. We are heading down at that same time from BC with our three year old. Next time we will stay at the DLH.

Hi,

I just cancelled our trip that I planned for the 2nd week of August. Turns out that my DS (who is starting at Cal in August) really didn't want to go to DL! I just can't believe it! He loves DL - but, I think he's more excited about going away to college...

I was really disappointed...and feeling sad that we weren't going to DL...but, then, my DH, said "why don't we just take a trip with the two of us" - I LOVE my DH!

We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary this year at the end of August in Maui and then we will be in DL on September 22nd - 24th! YAY!

Oh, and we are staying at GCH!

Add us to the list! DH left for a fishing trip to Alaska today, so he said it's only fair that I get to take our two DDs (12 & 14) on a girls trip to Disneyland! We'll be traveling with my best friend who is also their godmother. We'll be there September 26-29. I'm not sure where we're staying yet, but hope to have it booked by the end of the week. I'm torn between a standard room at the DLH versus a view concierge at PPH. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

You must be late Sept? I've already made all my dining reservations and I'm about to shuffle them all! The change in EE for onsite guest (now extended through end of Sept) has made me reconsider my entire trip plan. And we're going to start a day earlier based on the ride closures starting Sept 4. So I get to replan everything, which really is half the fun anyway, right?

I'm going to be patient and wait until the end of the week when the schedules are posted for our entire trip. Hoping there's an on-site discount posted for Sept this week too, based on last years schedule and the promo emails people are getting my guess would be this is the week for that. Totally just a hopeful guess.
