Everyone sounds so busy. It will probably get worse as the summer really gets going.
Ollie is doing really well. He has only coughed once since he has been on his medicine. He was coughing at least once a day.

Well, I was at the grocery store the other day and found it on the shelf. It is just a cheapy 3.99 bottle. Oh well, guess I will search some more. Sandy
You didn't have to TELL us! :p I for one would not be able to tell the difference. Now we know that the Armidillo pays for a whole bottle out of each glass sold.

Diana, I have forgotten something for my kids and it's the worst feeling in the world! Then I remind myself of it over and over and beat myself up extra good. What's with us? Out of 30 balls in the air, only one gets dropped and we think, "well, there goes my 'Mother of the year' award."
Savanna sounds lovely. Glad your son has a buddy coming along, Katie has a new e-mail pen-pal in Laurie's daughter Kristen. Oh, and if it's not too much trouble, I would love to sample some "real" beer from Canada. I like to try new things. I found a beer in New Zealand that I loved, then couldn't find anywhere locally. That's the problem I guess.

Hi Strissel and Krista! What's up?

Sandy, a.k.a. Nellie - Goddess of the wilderness. See you soon.
(from Lori - Goddess of the porta-potty tent)

Hi Denine and Ollie! I'm actually thinking about Ollie... and I don't even like CATS!:D
See ya'll. Hang on tight and have a wild summer.
Lori

I'm very thankful for two things right now
1. NONE of you posted about wearing a crocheted bikini (I think I'd have to not "know" you!!! LOL just kidding of course and if any of you have the body for it - good for you!
2. I don't have to schedule around the Maple Leafs hockey games anymore (wish they'd have won but.......oh well).

Glad Ollie is doing better. It's be good for Katie and Kristen to have a pal pre-cruise, I know you guys were a bit worried about them as I was Ian. That'll be great for both of them.

Can't wait to hear from you guys after you meet! Wish we could ALL meet. Who's staying at the Radisson on Friday before cruise? We are as we couldn't pass up the $59 deal.

See ya'all,
Diana

Will anyone be staying at the Radisson at Port Canaveral before your cruise, coming back on Oct. 26, to pick up your car? We'll be there, I thought we would get the shuttle to the ship around 10:30. Maybe we'll run into some of you.

Not only does my DD Kristen have a new email friend, but I have a new tool to get her to clean up her room!! When I checked the email this morning, I saw that she had a message from Lori's DD. I quickly turned off the computer and told her that as soon as she gets home from school she should clean her room and THEN she could read the email. SHE IS SO EXCITED!! This whole emailing thing is kind of new to her so its great incentive. Also, it's a great opportunity to connect with a pal before the trip!!

We are driving from Wisconsin to Port Canaveral and have not yet made hotel resvs. We are leaving WI late afternoon on Wed and hope to get to the Port by late Fri PM. Is the Radisson where I want to be?? Last time with the Land/Sea we didn't have to worry about this because we the shuttle picked us up right at Animal Kingdom and took us to the ship.

Do I need to make resvs now??

Thanks!

Hi Laurie. Last time we drove from Toronto - we left Thursday late morning, stopped around 2am, up and moving Fri. morning and got to the Radisson at 2am on Sat. My DH NEVER drives that late but he said in no way was I (me) going to miss that boat!!! LOL. THIS time we are flying - yea! Have enough freq. flyer miles for the 3 girls and I to get to Atlanta, rent a car and go to my parents house in Savannah on the 17th. Will pick up DH and DS and friend on the way to the Radisson on Friday (Southwest Airlines from Buffalo to Jacksonville, FL). Works out great. Maybe we can enjoy the pool this time!

I personally would make reservations now if that's where you want to stay. You can leave your car there - we had NO PROBLEMS leaving our van there, even with the tv in it - for free and take the shuttle to the port. hint: have DH take you, kids and luggage first and then shuttle by himself with no luggage. Getting in late you can't reserve an early time on the shuttle but 1 person with no luggage can get on anytime with no problems. Go to the Radisson.com site, find the one at Port Canaveral and don't forget to put in the code FALL for the good rate ($59 for regular room and $99 for 2 room suite). Have until 6pm day of arrival to cancel but at least you know you'll have something before the rate sells out! You can always change later too.

We are using Ian's friend coming on the cruise as a bit of -"no, you can't have this or do this because...." and IT WORKS!!!!
I love it! LOL

Ginger- we will be there - hopefully others too. We'll be the group with 4 adults (my parents are coming with us) and 5 kids! Hard to miss!!! :D :D

Disney6 I'll look for you. We will most likely be eating breakfast in the Rad's dinner room.
Olando you can call the hotel direct and get the "FALL" specials 321-784-0000. Radisson 8701 Astronaut Blvd. Or Radisson 1-888-201-1718
FALL PROMO $99.00 +taxes= $108.90 for a 2 room suite. It has 2 king beds in one room and a pull out queen in the living room-kitchenette area.

$59.00 for a room with a king bed or 2 beds.
Check-in is 3 pm but I was told if the room is ready you may check-in earlier

I called them this morning and booked it!! We went for the $99 special. My DH figured after the long drive the whirlpool would be nice. The pool with the waterfalls look great!! Hopefully we won't be pulling in at midnight and will have a chance to use it!

Thanks for the heads-up on the special :smooth:

You guys are a bunch of "Chatty Cathy's". Oops, am I showing my age? We will be at the Radisson before we sail and do the shuttle thing both ways. We will have to look for you Ginger. We opted for the 99.00 special. So far that means Laurie and Diana, right? Where is everyone else staying? I know Lori is at the Airport Hyatt. Still have a room at the airport Hyatt, too. Just wanted to weigh all options before cancelling. Sure I could bring the 3.99 special but in our grocery stores they can only sell 3.2. Can't believe something that good is THAT cheap. It is even made in Italy. Verdi Spumante by Bosco. I have a stray baby bunny in my garage today. Sure hope mom comes by to get it. It is soooo tiny and I worry with the heat. Pray for it. I am so happy with the email pen pals. So cute and so good for all.

Just saw your post, Lori. Don't worry, no partiers here. Ted and I are getting in around 5 and then doing some shopping before we check in. Disney does not have Pepsi products and Ted is hooked on Pepsi only. We are renting a car and stopping to buy pepsi. The first time we brought pepsi with us from home and it was heavy and awkward at the airport. We will probably get a late shuttle because we are checking in fairly late. Hope not. I think I got spoiled by being the first one on in January. What a neat experience!

jiminyC_fan that Verdi Spumante is good stuff no matter how cheap. I also tote a few splits with me on our cruises. Gheez!!! I wish I was going with you all, I think we may have alot in common.

We got the $99. special too. Driving down from Maryland staying at Old Key West from the 20th to till the 25th then heading to the Rad to meet some of the Oct 26, cruiser.

Hi Ginger, I have to show my stupidity. You said you also tote "splits". What is that? With all the responses to my cheap champagne and Ginger reinforcing that it is good, perhaps, I will still bring it with us. I enjoyed talking with you on the IM yesterday, Lori. Thanks for "popping in". Have a nice weekend everyone.

A splits is a small bottled containing maybe what equals to 2 glass, surely not any glass I have. Easy to carry and use no chances of it going flat.

Notice if you got an email from me saying my computer had a virus, it's not true. I found out that the virus was a hoax. Thank goodness.

Hi guys. This week I'm working "full time" YUK! But then on the otherhand.... this is where the vacation money come from. ;) My house and kids are a mess!
Hope everyone is having a great summer kickoff. Hey, it stayed under 100 degrees here today! That's a perk, working in an air conditioning. Today, I think the planets must have been aligned funny ... everything was just a bit askew. Extra work and confusion for no apparent reason. Like this day, it's blazing sunlight, with a tornado warning. Go figure.
Have a great week everyone!

We will be staying on the Magic the night before the cruise! :D

Can't wait to hear about the Western itinerary from you. We did eastern as we (I - DH doesn't care) felt we missed so much last time I just wanted to see the islands. Next time (hopefully DVC points don't go so high we can't cruise again!!) we'll do the Western. It's really hard saving those points for 2 cabins and at least 6 people! One of these days we HAVE to go to WDW! :)

It is easier for us to use points. There are only 2 of us and 1 inside cabin.

We booked another cruise! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
We are going on Holland America's Veendam in January! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Just had to share!
