Hi, everyone! I'm late in finding this thread, but we're also cruising on January 28th and I just wanted to say hello! We're cruising for my mom's b-day and retirement, along with her DH, my sis and BIL and their 2 kids, and my DH, me and our 9 month old daughter.

This is our first cruise and we're SO excited! We've started planning a few things to do at port but with a 9 month old, we've learned that we can't plan too much!

Anyway, I'll look over the past posts to see who else will be going. We're getting so excited to get there!

MORE BIRTHDAY PEOPLE !!!!! WOOHOOO !!!! :cool1:

welcome aboard... DH and I are celebrating bdays..

Thanks for the welcome! Actually, to clarify, we are cruising in honor of my mom's 60th b-day, but it doesn't fall during the time we're onboard. But we'll be sure to help you celebrate!

Hi Melsmom

Glad you found us before we set sail! :boat: We are a family of 4 from Delaware. My DS will be celebrating his 14th Bday on the cruise :bday:

So far we are planning a DIS Meet for 3:00 Deck 10 Midship Port Side :disrocks: We are also going to have a BDay DIS Meet on an "at sea" day" :cake: :bday: It would be great if we could help you celebrate your Mom's Bday too! :teeth:

:hyper: Okay, it's time to batten down the hatches and really get started on this cruise. Has anyone done the Old Town Trolley tour in Key West? I just got back from Savannah and we rode the Old Town Trolley tour there. I thought it was a neat way to see the area and I really like the on/off option where we can explore anything we see that's really neat while on the tour. Does anyone know if it goes near the Pirate Soul Museum? I tried looking at the map on the website and it's actually a map from the Conch Train tour. :rotfl2:

Any other not to miss tours/excurions anyone want to recommend. We will have a 3 year old with us and we're planning to stick together  on the excursion, so I know we're limited quite a bit. We might :confused3 decide to do an excursion for older ages if it's definately a not to be missed item.

Thanks!

Kim
20 days to go! :hyper:

We are going to Pirate Soul too, and then really whatever strikes our fancy :cool1: We might do the electric car thing, or the train. I don't have an excursion planned ( Yes, it is true...I don't have anything planned :scared1: ).

In Grand Cayman we are doing the "Rays, Reef, and Rum Point" excursion with Native Way :goodvibes It came highly recommended here and on the Cruise Critic site.

At Nassau, we are going to Comfort Suites and getting passes for Atlantis

Now I just have to make sure that I have clothes that fit everyone :wizard:

Sara :cool1:

OK, this is weird

There are 4 of us going. Every time before, ALL the DOCS came in 1 packet...THIS time everyone's came in separate packs...and we got 3 out of 4 :confused3 Guess I don't have to put the dogs in the kennel after all...doesn't look like DS 17 is coming on this trip.... :rotfl2: :rotfl:

No docs here today. Maybe your son's will show up in my pack! I guess since I said something about the 12th that is when mine will come. I sent an email to the TA asking her to request the LAP rotation for us. CodyJ likes Parrot Cay, I like Lumieres and another friend likes Animators. Since I made the reservations guess who picked!!

From the map, it looks like Pirate Soul is near the start/stop of the tour through Old Towne Trolley, so we may plan to do it before or after the tour rather than trying to make it part of the on/off.

What I really like about the Old Towne Trolley tour is there is a continuous tour of the island while you're riding the trolley, but you can get off at any stop, look around and then get on another trolley and the tour narration starts back up where you left off. It's a great way to see the sites and learn about the island at the same time.

Tonight I'm tackling DH with other excursion plans. I think we're going to try the Dolphin Encounter in Nassau (I think that's where it is.)

That is so funny. We have always gotten separate packages and this time they came in one. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Ours came on Monday. Looks like they are coming to everyone at staggered times. DCL said we are leaving Key West at 7:30 but if I check the port schedule :scared1: le for Key West it says we leave at 10:15? I like to know the disembark times because hubby fishes with off shore charters in two ports and he wouldnt want to miss the boat!!!!

I called Disney and they said we are leaving Key West at 9:30pm. :confused3
It will be clearly marked in our Navigator. It would be interesting if you call them and see if they give you a different story.
Lisa
ps. In case you have not noticed, I am getting excited!! :cool1: :cool1:

I cant remember being this excited!!! A little overwhelmed with the planning, thinking that I might forget something, but thats part of the fun, the weeks leading up to it!! :duck:

Doin the Docs Dance :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

They got here yesterday but I was too busy to post. But looks likes we are going for sure now!
