Is anyone here an AP or DVC member and going on the sneek preview of Expetition Everest (sp) ?? DH can not wait !! Me, well roller coasters totally Freak me out

This one just fell in our lap!! I couldnt believe that we were staying the night before the cruise at AKL and the preview lands on one of those days. If anyone would like to take my place you can join my DH and 11 year old. I believe it said we can have up to three guests as well.Everest is on AKL property. We are coming in on the 27th.

So who is dressing the part for this Pirate Night I keep hearing about? I know we get bandanas from DCL but what else do you all wear ?

Any set Meetings yet for Birtday Dis Cruisers ? Or just the Dis cruisers ?? I've never been on Magic before so I don't know the rooms or anything on the ship or I'd called DCL and ask to reserve something..

Formal Nights ?? There are 2 of them right ?? Who where's Tuxes and Gowns or are just plain Suits ok?? Are normal men's jackets and button down shirts ok ?? My 2 "men" have suits they are bringing, but the other 2 men in our group said they were just bringing jackets. 1 said he might skip the formal nights all together but I asked him Not to so we can get some nice pictures taken of us.

What about weather ?? Is it still shorts and Tshirts ?? What about at night ??

Can you tell I'm getting nervous ??

Oh Yeah...we be doin' the pirate thang.... DH and 2 DS's are wearing flowing "Poet" type shirts. I'll be in a peasant top and skirt, with a vest...bandanna around my neck I guess....

Waiting to see what everyone else wants to do about the b-day DIS meet.

1 formal night and 1 semi-formal night. "Formal" men are tuxes to suits. DH does not have a tux, so he will be in a suit. DS's will be in jackets or suits, depends on what is fitting. I have seen gowns and cocktail dresses. I have worn gowns and cocktail dresses and have been very comfortable. I think just about anything goes on these nights as long as it's not "casual"...

The one man in our group will be wearing sport coat and tie for both nights. DM will wear an evening dress and I will be in a pants suit. Not sure about my sis.
Try not to laugh but we enjoy dressing up a little for dinner, all of us are either retired or have jobs where you don't 'dress for success'.

Morning All - My sister gets home tomorrow so I can start laying out the clothes I want to take. On our cruise last year we all had flashing pirate buttons. I thought I would have a seizure!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't 'dress up' for pirate night but sure do appreciate those who do. In fact several 'pirates' tried to hijack my Mom's wheel chair, with her in it, and she loved it.

We are DOUBLE lucky we have both so we are going twice!

As for dressing up for Pirate Night this is what Coleen and I wore on the DVC member cruise and we are bringing the same ones for this cruise!

We used Dreams Unlimited. We were on this same cruise last year and we had our DOCS before Christmas, because I wrapped them and put them under the Christmas Tree.

They came UPS 3 day Select. They came from Disney Cruise Line, 210 Celebration Place Celebration, FL.

Ok I am packing this weekend and I am ready to go!!

I have the box of 24 bubble bottles on my kitchen counter. I don't want to forget them. We can pass them out then rather than waiting for sail away. Getting ready to party!!!!!

My DS(13) is just dying to talk with some of the kids that are going. He has written on the teens board a couple of times. Does anyone else have any kids that would like to get to know each other before we leave? He is really getting excited about the cruise
