Roll call for 10/29/09 3 night Bahamian - General chit chat

The Bouneback was a promo for booking last fall and sailing Jan-March of this year, and if you did, you got a code to book at cruise for this coming late summer/fall for $99 pp + tax and fees. They may run it again, but I haven't heard anything.
Oh o.k. thanks, that's what I figured. Do you get any kind of discounts by booking another cruise while on one cruise??? My family was thinking about booking one during this cruise.

I’ve tried to post this three times. I’m not sure why it hasn’t worked, but I keep shortening the content hoping it will post, so I apologize if this shows up multiple times:

The name poll is awesome. Thanks, disneycr8zy! To follow your example, I tried to organize and make a list of our plans up until now. Is this list correct so far? If I left anything or anyone out, I sincerely apologize. Everyone is great!

MEET-N-GREET: Participants for this thread's meet-n-greet are tracked in THREAD #1. Suggestions for meeting included wearing group tags or leis. Suggested meeting locations/times:
1. Sail Away Party Deck 10
2. Promenade Lounge before the Lifeboat Drill

GROUP NAMES: Excellent group names were offered in THREAD #166, #170, #179. A poll was created by disneycr8zy to vote on names in THREAD #216.

CLIP ART: Group clip art is available in THREAD #214. Would more clip art be annoying? (Like I haven't already gone overboard, no pun intended.)

FE EXCHANGE: Let Denversees4me know by Oct. 1, 2009 (if you haven't already) and if you want to be on the FE exchange list (THREAD #67). She will track the list and make a map of the participants across the ship (THREAD #122). It was recommended that if we get a large number of FE exchange participants, we split the group up in to sides (of the ship) (or maybe decks?) We can decide in September. An FE gift sample list has been offered in THREAD #67. A FE source was offered in THREAD #75.

DENVER'S INFORMATION: The 'kiddie' pool on Level 7 Secret Aft Deck is for Denver's use (THREAD #179). Denver's FE exchange wish list is available in THREAD #72.

PACKING: Suggested list was offered in THREAD #160. Other recommendations were offered in THREAD #148. Information for mailing boxes ahead was offered in THREAD #78.

Hello everyone, I just booked this cruise a month ago. I'm so excited:yay::yay::yay: this is my families first Disney Cruise since 2001. Where trying to surprise my 12 year old sister, we've been wanting to take her on the Disney Cruise for the longest. I have a question though whats the deal with the Bounceback cruise offer, do you get a discount on booking a cruise while on the ship??? Is there a certain time frame while on the cruise that you can do it??? If anyone can help I would surely appreciate it, thanks.

Welcome aboard - let me know if you want to join in the FE exchange and DIS meet onbaord :)

Fantastic - thanks so much for posting this :thumbsup2 I have included your summary in the first post on the thread so everyone can find it easily :)

What part of GA are you in runskyhy? DH and I live in McDonough.

Excellent! We are in Marietta, northwest of Atlanta, up I-75. Looks like we'll be passing you on our drive down to Orlando! Maybe we can catch the same shuttle over to the port from the Radisson on Thursday.

If you don't mind sharing a shuttle and a ship with a Yellow Jacket. I don't get too mixed up in taking sides there though. I recognize good football when I see it. :)

Awesome!! I haven't called the Radisson yet to book the shuttle, but like to get the earliest one possible (last time it was 10:30). It'd be really cool to ride with you guys. On our last cruise we were on the shuttle with a couple and their kids from our cruise meet. It was really cool...we chatted all the way to port and I know it's only a couple of minute drive, but it seemed like no time at all passed from the time we got on until we got off because we were chatter boxes.

My godchildren live in Marietta. It's a small world after all!! :goodvibes

I don't mind...lol...DH went to UGA for a bit and I'm a Bama fan!! (so if you can do it, we can do it!!) :rotfl:

AAARRRGGGG Mateys. This thread is really picking up. Our family voted this past weekend for the Cruise Name. Welcome to all that recently came aboard. I remember when the cruise was 18 months away. The time is getting closer and will be here before we know it.

i say we get another link to vote for meeting places im up for promenade lounge at 3 before the drill

Okay, being a newbie I know nothing about the 2 main suggested locations, can someone sell them to me, good points and bad?! Piccies would be fab too if anyone has them... demanding, aren't I?;)

I love pictures! Thanks for asking! :rotfl:

I'll be happy to meet wherever we decide.

Sure I would to do the DIS meet onboard. What is the FE exchange???? What do I need to do to join???

The FE exchange is where a group of DISers get together and exchange small gifts for each other. A Fish Extender is hanging pockets which you can hang on the metal fish outside your SR door. Other people then leave their gifts in your FE and you come back to find the little surprises waiting for you :) Can't lay my hands on any at the moment but there are plenty of threads on the main cruise board about Fish Extenders and suggestions for gifts (as there are on this thread too).

If you let me have the names of everyone in your party, your stateroom number if you know it and ages of any kids I'll add you to the list.

The only thing I would add to the excellent info that runskyhy has already posted is that meeting in the Promenade lounge could be more suitable as we are likely to be the only ones there at that time of day. Deck 10 gets very busy while the party is on and it is likely to be more difficult to have a conversation. Plus, a lot of people with kids may find their kids want to be on Deck 9, which is where most of the action happens. I figure if we meet first in the Promenade Lounge, if anyone then wants to meet up on Deck 10 later for the party, they still can.

That seems sensible to me :thumbsup2
