Hi all, back from my 4th of July trip to the mouse and boy did I miss alot on here! Did we ever decide on what design we were putting on our t-shirts for this cruise? Is anyone else wearing a lime green shirt for our first day? Just a thought since there are so many of us on here it might be easier to see other dis'ers. I think we're up to around 75 of us now, WOW! Maybe we'll be the ones taking over the ship instead of the pirates.:rotfl:

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that the polls posted for Group Name and Meet 'n' Greet location have now closed and the results are as follows:

(Drum roll)

The group name, as voted by DISers is....

HalloWonder

And the Meet 'n' Greet will take place in the Promenade Lounge at 3 pm.

I have updated the first post to reflect this information :)

Wilma - you ROCK as usual !!! Thanks so muchfor updating us !

Denver and I went to disneyland yesterday for a few hours , he is sleeping it off today LOL . We saw Alladin it was GREAT !!! Reminded me of being on the ship and it would be so cool if they brought that show to the ship !
off to run errands all happy day !

And we are back again.
The dessert party was wonderful, the location is great and the selection of desserts was amazing, plus free drinks. I think it was very well worth the price, I hope they keep it.

The tables were assigned and they even had name cards for the families, we had an awesome view of the fireworks and even SpectroMagic.

I have some pics to share and video of wishes:

(I didn't even notice the rainbow here until I started going through photos at home)

These were taken with my palm pre, so they are not all that good, still, gives you an idea of the location from stills:

OMG so jealous! I love wishes. There wouldn't be a dessert left if dopey was there! lol I wish they would extended the dessert party until the fall!:sad2:

We did the desert party on the 4th of July, it was by far the best place to watch the fireworks that night! No crowds there, and boy did we eat some chocolate covered strawberrys. So we're eating all the yummy deserts we can cram down our throats for a couple of hours and then my kids leave and guess where they want to go first? The teapots! :scared1: Everything was fine, although I was a little green just watching them spin around. I do recommend the desert party if the park is crowded, it is so nice to eat deserts at your own table rather than sit on a crowded curb for the hour before the fireworks start.

Oh yeah, since we decided on Hallowonder I'm going to make my t-shirt with the one from post #210 (thanks Runskyhi) I'm still not sure if I'm going to put that one on the front or the back. I might do that one on the back and an orange mickey with my name on the front. Who's with me?? Oh yeah, I don't think I will do a lime green shirt afterall since that might clash with the orange. :crazy2:

Thanks guys! I agree, it is the best place to watch the show when it is crowded.
The wait times for most rides at MK were very short that weekend, it kept raining on and off, but it all cleared right on time for Spectro and Wishes, so we were very happy.

I have started thinking about my costume for the cruise, I think it is between Snow White and Briar Rose. For snow white I would wear a peasant yellow skirt, and a dark blue tank top over a red babydoll t-shirt. Then a red headband and voila!

I do have a sowing machine and I could attempt a Briar Rose costume, but my seamstress skills are non-existent, so that would be a tall order.

Just to let you all know that I have updated some of the info in Post #1 again, added a couple of new groups to the FE exchange list and the meet list.

I just wanted to raise a possible issue about the FE exchange and ask your advice. When Cari (denversees4me) allocated the groups for the FE exchange, I sent a PM to most everyone on the list (with the exception of the regular posters on this thread) to let them know the lists had been posted and what group they had been allocated. A couple of people didn't respond to my PM and haven't posted on this thread (or the DIS, as far as I can tell) since the first/last time they actually posted here. What should we do about them? Do we still include them as far as FE gifts go? Or remove them from the lists?

Should I try to send PMs again to those who haven't posted recently?

The only reason I ask is that I am making FE gifts, as are a few others that I know of, and they are pretty time-consuming and I really didn't want to waste time making gifts for people who have no intention of participating but just signed up because it seemed like a good idea at the time.

What do others think? I would welcome your input :)

We replied didn't we?

We replied didn't we?

Not sure if you replied to my last PM regarding the groups but I wasn't referring to you as we've exchanged a couple of PMs regarding your SR number etc. so I knew you were still OK with the exchange :)

I say that on the cut off day (sometime in Aug I think it was) we send out a PM to all participating in the FE's and give people a week to respond If we don't hear back remove them from the list. I agree that would be a pain to make something up for someone that might not even be cruising with us anymore.

That sounds good.

I can't remember if I replied, but count us in for FE.

Great idea - if everyone else is in agreement, that's what we will do.

Terri (sdchickie) mentioned that another Cruise meet group had got together and linked reservations so that they could dine together. We thought it might be an idea to ask if anyone fancied doing this.

If nothing else, I thought it might be nice to at least see who was on main/late dining in case you want to wave across the restaurants at each other (bearing in mind, of course, that we could have different rotations).

So, I will start - we are on late dining. Not sure how this will work out with the kids but we enjoyed the late dining last time so thought we'd give it a go :)

Not really sure how we would feel about hooking up with others - would have to discuss it with the rest of our party - it might not even be possible since there are 9 of us already.

We are still up for FE :thumbsup2

im happy to go with a cut off date, it seems a reasonable idea to me

also we are on late dining with Wilma-bride

:)

please accept my apologies for my lack of response to this thread, i have subscribed to the thread and do read the update emails :rotfl2:

I know they have a room at Palo's where groups have had dinner/brunch together. I wonder if we could book that. I love Palos!
