Roll call for 10/29/09 3 night Bahamian - General chit chat

pet bunnies and sugar rushes BLT sandwiches and tree houses !!! OH WHAT A FUN GROUP WE ARE lol .....

Can you belieeeve I had never had a BLT sandwich until a month ago? When I told DH and my friends they dragged me into the car, took me to the closest diner and basically crammed a BLT sandwich on my face.

It was tasty, good times, good times.

Just saw the "Make your own milkshake" on a DCL cruise video, can't believe I never thought of that, duh! You will see me making trips from the soft serve machine to the drink station and then laps around the ship as I sip on my milkshake to try and offset the calories.

Anybody doing the cruise sponsored trick or treating routes? I think I am... if they will let a 29 year old get in line for candy with the kidlets. What can I say... I have the spirit of a 7 year old.

Move to Florida, its mostly humid, mostly hot and we have palmetto bugs that looks just like prehistoric roaches and can fly. Man they scared the poopie outta me the first time I saw one.

We don't have those things in Spain!

And lets not forget the first time I saw a possum... I thought a giant mutant rat with big teeth and a nasty hissy attitude wanted to pick a fight with me about a trash bag.

We also have gators... what? I didn't say I worked for the Florida tourism board!

I need to start thinking about a costume... I have an old one I brought to a design conference a couple of years back, we had a "theme" night for our closing party, it was about "Fonts" and I went dressed in as "Wingdings", which basically meant big fairy wings with bells attached to them... get it? Get it? Well the other designers got it

What you need is a screw top cap or other bottle that you can secure for shaking. You take the bottle up to the soft serve ice cream station, fill it to about 2/3 full with chocolate ice cream, squirt in as much chocolate syrup as you'd like in there, then take the container to the drink station and pour in milk on the rest of the space.

Mix the contents with a spoon, close the screw top and shake it!

I suppose I could dress Denver up I thought about it last year but face it if we entered any contest they might pick us and I would feel bad taking away from others so we might dress up and not enter anything - maybe they will make a contest all their own a dog costume one and since Denver will the the only one most likely well he will win paws down !!!! I do have some cute disney costumes for him i have buzz lightyear cowboy woody eeyore mickey and goofy i think thats all LOL I wonder if it would be funny if Mary and I dressed up like dogs and we made Denver look like a human !!! LOL He could play the blind role wear sunglasses maybe a ball cap and carry the cane around or something that would be a sight ! nawwww but i might dress him up in a cute disney costume any ideas of who? we really like pluto but dont know how i would be creative enough to do it all ... guess i better think on that !

Has anyone ever stayed at buena vista suites? i hear you can sometimes get a room for 88 dollars there with mousesavers

I believe we are in your FE group (A). Yes, we do celebrate Christmas and, yes, we have a pet - a cat named Ollie

I have been hard at work this week making my FE gifts and have even roped in my eldest DD, Sian, who has just finished her exams at school and is now on summer vacation so is sitting at home all day with nothing to do (except the huge list of chores I've left her )

Here is the answer to you questions....

A. yes we celebrate Christmas.
B. We have a cat named Daisy, and a toy poodle named Luci.

I have bought stuff to make 1 of my extender gifts. I know what I want for the 2nd one, but have not got it yet.
