A friend just left on a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Glory.
The Glory docks right next to the Magic, and reminded me of my cruise in February. I was so jealous, but I think I'd be sooo sad if I was in the Glory and not on the Magic.

I so can't wait to finally board the Wonder.

DH and I will be staying at the Pop before the cruise, it is one of our fav values.

What is everyone from the UK doing to adjust to the time change ???? how many hours is it ? and here im griping about 3 measley hours u guys r probbably like 10 or something outrageous !!!!1

We don't generally have too much difficulty adjusting to the time difference (Orlando is 5 hours behind UK time). The first couple of days we tend to have early nights but, by the time we cruise we will have been there for 10 nights so won't be too bad. Coming home is a different matter though - I suffer really badly with jet lag

jet lag BITES !!!! I whined at 3 hours man im glad i dont have to do 5 LOL !!!! How is pop ? we r debating pop vs all star movies for the last night we r at the resort . We did movies last year but it was very run down .... maybe they will remodel

Us too, are you using Disney transport to get to the ship?
We're going to the S&D at the moment to get the bus, but it would have been nice to get there earlier, but too expensive for 2 of us to consider other means of transport I think....

Laquinta is less than an hour from port. We stayed there on our last cruise. It is a decent hotel. No bells or whistles, but free breakfast. My DH used to work for one as a second job. We stayed for cost back then(Laquinta's cost for renting a room, which is less than half of what they charge). He does not work for them anymore. It is across the street from the ocean. We spent a couple of hours at the ocean.

We have not picked our resort for Disney yet. We were wanting to stay at one of the resorts where the shuttle for port picks you up. I don't think we can do a deluxe as I am losing my job this week, but a moderate will be ok. DH wants PO Riverside. We were waiting to see if any discounts come out for October.

I bought my fabric and stuff to make my fish extender. I hope it turns out.

How is pop ? we r debating pop vs all star movies for the last night we r at the resort . We did movies last year but it was very run down .... maybe they will remodel

Pop is great! I highly recommend it, never have had a bad stay there, the food court is wonderful too.
I agree Movies is getting very run down, they are in desperate need of a refurb, All Star Music got a refurb not so long ago, I really like it there too, it is the most quiet of all the values. My favorite is the Broadway building followed closely by Jazz.

No, DH and I are using our own car, we live just 4 hours (more like 3.5) away from WDW and have Sunpass for the toll roads as well, plus we like embarking and disembarking whenever we want, and if we get there early we get a parking spot right off the ship.

I know la Quinta is close they said 6 mi from port i ment 45 min from airport to there do you know if thats true?????
Im not expecting a glorious hotel bec we get there so late is all we r going to do is sleep im at least hoping for a decent breakfast though !

I was just thinking i need to order fabric and start my FE stuff the trip will be here before we know it . I went online lastnight looking for stuff too !!!!

Im thinking we might do pop not sure though again we r waiting for discounts to come out too !!!!
I know when i went on the bus to the port ( disney ) we stopped at a LOT of places on the way not just the 4 hotels they tell you they pick up from so maybe u can call and see or ask around on the boards ?
It was a pain to take a taxi to the hotel but if you have to do it it works ! we paid 20 dollars to go from movie to grand floridian not bad i guess .

Hey count us in for the FE! We just got our Halloween costume's today! Can't wait until out trip. We are heading down on the 17th and going on the wonder on the 22nd and the 29th. Plus we are staying at our home resort for the first time BLT! and we are also staying at AKV. Now we just need it to be October!

We will be at OKW for 4 days before the cruise.

There are actually two different LQ Hotels in Cocoa Beach. One is newer and is about 2 miles from the port. The other one is the motel that was owned by the original astronauts from NASA. It is obiously older but looks like it has been kept up pretty good. It is about 3 miles from the Port. I used to travel alot with my work and I was an avid resident of LQ. I would earn free nights from the business stays and we would use those nights on our trips to WDW. You can check out the motels at LQ.com if you would like.

We are staying at the Tree House Villas for a couple of days. Saratoga Springs is our home resort. And we are also going to Vero Beach the two days before the cruise. We have never been to VB but it looks like a good time. BLT is going to be a very high demand location. We will probably try to stay there in the next few years.
Man you guys are doing back to back cruises. Must be nice. Was that one of the incentives for buyng in to BLT?

Awesome! We would love to try the treehouse villa's but would have to convice some people to come down with us. Take pictures and let us know how it is! for the first cruise we are using our bounceback and the second cruise was free when we purchased DVC! They are almosts back to back we get back from the first cruise on the 25 and go on the next on the 29. We have a few days a BLT in between. Figure we should use them because plane tickets are too expensive to just go down for a 3 day cruise!
