In a one bedroom, is it possible to get a rollaway bed from DVC? The dilemma is I have a 13 year old boy and girl and I think the sofa sharing is out at this age. They have shared the sofa bed since they were toddlers. However, I think at this stage it is better to have their own bed. I know I can share with her on the sofa bed, but my back aches thinking about it.

I am not trying to circumvent any rules here .. just need to address sleeping accommodations.

Thanks:flower3:

DVC members booking on points can have 5 in the room no worries BUT I don't think Disney have rollaways even though this is allowed. [I realise you are 4...just saying...]
We are bringing an airmatress. One of those plug in self inflate ones that reaches the height of a regular twin mattress. Kmart sell them :)
Otherwise there are some one bedrooms (Kidani and BLT I believe) that have sleeper chairs in the room

We would be flying in so an air mattress is not feasible. I wonder if BCV or BWV has the sleeper chairs?

I have a friend who flew with a twin aerobed. She packed it in a duffle. When it's deflated and folded up, it's not that big.

AKV (Kidani) and BLT 1 bedrooms have the sleeper chairs. If you can't bring along an aerobed (or something similar), then your best option is to stay at one of those two resorts.

You'd need to book a 2 bedroom at the other DVC resorts if you want separate beds for the kids.

DVC will not provide rollaways or cots. We just bought a twin sized Aerobed for our son to sleep on when we head to Yellowstone at Christmas time. It doesn't take up much room at all when it is rolled up, including the mattress pad and the sheets.

We'll be flying to Billings, MT for this trip, so we'll just check the aerobed in a dufflebag or suitcase.

I will look into the Aerobed. That seems to be the best option for us. We only have 150 points, so a 2 bedroom (although a dream) is not in our plans for now.

Have a great day!

I suppose we're strange but our kids always just slept on the floor! They seemed to like it...even when one pullout was available and they could have taken turns, the two oldest opted to both sleep on the floor...and they were 16 and 18 at the time! :lmao:

Sometimes, Disney will have aerobeds available. The aren't reservable, and may not be there.

But I'd buy one. And I'd get an owner's locker. As often as you are down there, with two kids who won't sleep in the same bed, having your extra bed delivered would be easy....

We have packed a queen size aero bed in one piece of luggage (before the airlines had baggage fees).

My grand kids are 13 and 15 . . girl and boy. In April we brought a twin blow up that I purchased at Walmart. We also flew and it was not heavy at all. Each night we blew it up in front of the slider. Now, it is great when the kids have friends sleep over.

We just came back and we used a pool raft. Not that I would sleep on it, but by DD said it was fine.

We tried it out at home first and if it wasn't comfortable, would have gone the aerobed route as we only had 3 suitcases and 4 travelers and figured we would make that the 4th piece.

But, she was fine with it so so was I... especially since I got it on clearance for $1.00!!!!
