ROFR Thread Oct to Dec 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Deed was recorded 12/18 and waiting as well.
So, I received a notification from title company that our deed has closed, as well. Does Disney really still take 4-6 weeks to transfer and load the points from the deed recording date? Is that normal or just a cautionary guideline? To the ones that have gone through this to completion, what's your experience on time from deed close to points loading?

A question for anyone who’s passed ROFR, who notified you first that Disney waived it and the contract was yours? Is there any way to check the status of it in real time instead of depending on the speed of the transfer company/broker to let you know?

Yes it can take that long. When we closed last February, took a little over 3 weeks to get the points. I think it’s usually a little shorter if you already have an existing account and they just need to load them. It seems like some people are getting their points faster than usual lately

The Closing Time thread linked two comments above yours will show you how long it is taking for points to load after closing.

Normally 3 weeks. It could be longer because of the backup from the holidays, pushing it to 4-6 weeks.

I specifically requested Mason because they allow up to $7500 on a CC transaction
Offer was made/negotiated/accepted on 12/22, but took til today to get the contracts (Holiday impact !?)

E2ME2---$136-$9060-60-BLT-Jun-0/24, 0/25, 125/26, 60/27- sent 12/30

APDVC---$135-$28264-200-VGF-Apr-0/24, 0/25, 75/26, 200/27- sent 12/22
APDVC---$135-$28264-200-VGF-Apr-0/24, 0/25, 75/26, 200/27 - sent 12/22. Taken 12/30.

Unfortunately Disney exercised their right this time, but at this price we were already aware of the likelihood of this happening so although not the outcome we wanted, we go again…

Sorry they took it but congrats on those negotiating skills!! Worth a shot to see if it could slip by and pass imo.

As Disney exercised their ROFR on our recent $135pp VGF contract (as expected at that price) we were definitely disappointed but had to try for it at that price. As one door closes another opens…

The resort that’s always had our hearts since our first stay is the Poly, but was so rarely at a price we wanted go to. However, less than 24 hours since our ROFR failure we’ve managed to already be going back to ROFR on a great Poly contract price and we can’t help but feel everything happens for a reason so…fingers crossed Disney not buying back a single PVB contract in 2025 continues..

APDVC-$147-$32477-200-PVB-Mar-0/25, 219/26, 200/27 - sent 12/31

(Seller pays $250 of the new $500 2026 Disney fee)

Have you compared the price of buying direct vs resale at Poly? The spread isnt nearly as large as at VGF so may be worthwhile to run the numbers.
