ROFR Thread Oct to Dec 2024 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

I appreciate the advice and have questioned whether I thought it through enough. My reasoning was:

- I think most trips with our kids will fall in Mar-May. Any future add-ons would ideally also be February for simplicity, and that is the month I would have chosen if starting from scratch
- June BWV is 150 points I'm sharing with a sibling with similar aged kids. I envision I would use these points every 4 years or we'd do a joint trip with them every ~3 years. 18 years til expiration makes me think this is 5-6 trips max on this contract
- I'm a "spreadsheet guy" and CC/bank account churner which requires a lot of tracking. I don't know anyone else in my circle who "enjoys" the hobby as much as me so obsessively tracking / planning seems to be uniquely in my DNA.
Then multiple use years will actually work really well for you. Excellent decision. And February is a popular UY it seems, so that might help if you decide to add on even more later. Congrats!!!

We currently have 2 use years at 2 different resorts and haven't had any issues. We enjoy split stays so it has worked well for that. I am also an obsessive tracker/planner. Our most recent contract actually is a different use year/resort so I am a little nervous about that but couldn't resist.

Hi Neighbor! I just closed at $116pp (plus service fees and all MF) so try not to look at the people who paid less than us lol. Nicely loaded for 2024! See ya at AKV!
See you there soon, because I got the news I passed ROFR today!!! That was the best part of not getting one of those sweet $95pp contracts LOL. Welcome home to us!

ETA: We have the same home resorts! VGF (blue card contract), BWV (tiny add on), AKV (my new contract!!)...and just a few pts at VDLR because I went and stayed and fell in love with the entirety of Disneyland lol.

I recognize that a 200-pt AKV contract can be had for less, but the seller paying dues on all of those 2024 pts and the banked pts from 2023 were really appealing to me :)
This gives me hope! My contract was sent 9/16. It was a 170 point June UY for $106 pp. Hopefully I hear back soon!

I will post the details of my contract using the link from the first post when I get home from work. My work computer won't allow me to open the link. But the details are: 170 AKV June UY, $106 pp, 0/23, 39/24, 170/25, etc... I am paying the dues for the 39 points. There was no haggling of price, it was advertised as low but firm.

You should be good. I got 110 point AKV Sept-UY for $95 pp... 0/23, 2/24, 110/25, 110/26.... I was worried... submitted 9/10, passed 10/8. Whew!

I agree that is not that difficult to manage. I too have a spreadsheet so I know exactly which points and point years (Banked or borrowed) I’ve used for every reservation. First UY I bought was Mar. It made the most sense for spring break and summer trips with the kids. Then we purchased Oct UY for November and December trips. I prefer to have the UY “before” the trip and the travel dates before banking window closes. We have over 1,000 points btwn the 2 UY now so I don’t need to transfer between the 2 contracts however we have done it a couple times and other times booked split stays over 2 weeks and just used each UY for each reservations.

Fijiism---$98-$10929-100-SSR-Feb-0/23, 0/24, 200/25, 100/26-Seller pays MF 2024- sent 10/9

I always say, no more contracts after this one . . .
We said the same thing after we bought our direct contract at GFV last year. But since then we have added on SSR … and AKL that was sent to ROFR last week.
635pts is ENOUGH!
But yesterday my husband hinted that maybe it’s not enough points 🤪🤪🤪

Has anyone purchased from https://resales.*******.com before? There is a contract that has no 2024 or 2025 points that I am possibly interested in, but none of their listings mention if by default they offer a dues credit for any stripped current year or future points. I feel like most do, but I don't want to send an offer or a message to find out that they expect me to pay for the 2 years of dues for the stripped points

Edit: well RIP for the actual site but I feel like most resale sites give a dues credit for used points, right?
