In the end, if his division is meeting or exceeding expectations than the other divisions are not going to impact him.

Same with DVC…they are not going to hold the executives who oversee this division responsible for what goes on company wide,

Now, you may see some shifting of these people because Iger may feel they have ability to turn those divisions around…but for parks, profits are going well and Josh has a positive presence for many.
I have no grudge against D’Amaro. I just think it’s so interesting that fans hate all these changes to the parks but he is always so beloved. I would just be happy if they bring back APs and ME.

Probably because they know that Chapek as CEO was involved in setting the goals, etc.

With APs, Chapek was clear he didn’t see Guests with those types of tickets are desirable…hopefully, we will see a change in 2023 with Iger back.

I can't wait to hear something back! This is my first contract and should be perfect for a 2-3 night stay once a year.

Been a lurker for years. Just made an offer on a 1st contract. Hoping to spend a week in a studio every other year and we really like AKL.
Wow that's a good deal! I have an offer in for 157/point

agree! I understand that Chapek most likely got fired because of the losses from Disney+ and share prices but he was most hated for all the changes and price increases in the parks. So why does D’Amaro not get any of the blame? Because he might have been hamstrung by his boss? I don‘t buy it.

Well…I believe that Chapek wasn’t exactly known as the most loyal kind of person. If you want your job you do what the boss decrees. So, telling him “no, I think I will not implement your plans for the parks” would have swiftly allowed him to polish up the old resume while searching for a new job.

I have been watching this thread this week and I have to assume the ROFR folks are on vacation this week.

To my fellow DVC owners... is $165 for a small point BCV with 2022 points considered a fair deal? I'm okay with 2042 expiration since I'll be almost 70 (ugh...) but worried that in a year or two these contracts will be so much cheaper.

Is that what you offered? I’d offer less if you didn’t have to have it. But if it’s your perfect contract, I don’t think $10ish less is a huge difference on a small one.

It was listed much higher. This is the accepted offer.

I don't see how 2042 prices will be so much cheaper in a year or two when direct prices are increasing, not decreasing...which might incentivize DVD to ROFR contracts to keep the 2042 resale prices high to justify the (crazy) direct prices. Time will tell. I have a $138 point contract in ROFR right now, and even at that price point I don't feel entirely justified spending the money, but the warm fuzzies I get from BCV overrides sound financial judgement.

Thank you for your response. I didn't see your thread. What size contract did you purchase?
