WAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Making me wait till the last day just to snatch it up :furious:

DSNYFRK4EVR---$119-$20525-160-BLT-Aug-2/16, 320/17, 160/18- sent 3/23, TAKEN 4/20

Wow...so sorry ! I echo what beourguest2009 said and would never have guessed they would take a BLT at 119. Don't give up...would love to see you at the most excellent BLT!:flower1:

What to do when you have buyers' remorse?!? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll use those BLT points up in no time, but I won't be too broken up about it if they get taken with ROFR. ;) Nothing to do now except wait on Disney's reply for ROFR...I've probably got at least a week to go.

I'm angry for you as well. That really sucks. I'm sorry. They have been buying June and August back a lot lately. Maybe look to different use years if you can. Don't know what the strategy is there with those two months, and it could change as I am typing this. I would have HAPPILY sacrificed my September contract currently in ROFR so that your August one would've made it through since I just added-on to my VGF points and am having buyers remorse. Imagine if we could do that?!? I doubt mine will pass either, which is ok for me. I'm aggravated for you though and felt the same way last month when my first one got taken. Hang in there! :crutches:
Thanks for the support. SO FRUSTRATING! I also never would have thought they would take it at that price...clearly seems like no rhyme or reason to their madness...although I started to think they were looking for a buyer when it was taking so long...

I'll try for August again, since my other contracts are August as well

Thanks for the support. I'll keep on trying! I have a small contract at BLT but have noticed it is definitely not enough points. I'm so frustrated they took so long just to snatch it up. Totally could have put in another contract in that time...

Sorry. They're just a robotic corporation like all the others, unfortunately, so they just don't care....especially since they don't make money off of resale purchases.

Just submit another offer, and stick to the use year you want. Eventually you'll get everything you're looking for and all of this frustration will be a story you'll tell poolside. :)

I agree that they'll move on from June and August. Heck...maybe they will move onto September next! Seems only logical. :ssst:

How many days has it been since you signed your contract? If you're having buyers remorse I believe you have 10 days to cancel.

So they have been ROFRing June and Aug UY...those are my two UY and my HHI contract in ROFR is June. Eek.

@TexasChick123 ... if you can swing the cost, than you will be glad to have all those points. And you can book the standard view at BLT which is hard to get unless you own. I too was kinda 'meh' if they ROFR my HHI. I wanted to add CCV or BCV and let DH talk me into HHI for cheaper buy in. Also I am worried about the annual dues being so high. BUT now I am kinda excited because we do love HHI and can have so nice stays there and we're moving to NC so can easily swing down to HHI. And we will have an excess of points to use for a March 2018 trip to WDW we need to book.

DVC could be trying to drive the price of resale contracts up by buying higher price per point contracts, thus causing the brokers to increase prices to pass ROFR.

Except - mine passed a few weeks ago at $106pp and had 2017 points but was a Feb UY. I tend to think UY and available points may be a a factor. The BLT contract that was taken had 320 points coming on at the next UY anniversary (Aug) mine would have had 260 points coming on at the next UY anniversary, BUT since it was a Feb contract, it's considered "partially stripped" while @DSNYFRK4EVR's is considered fully loaded (bec it's August).

:( Seriously, the last day. That had to hurt. Agree, price seemed fair especially since not loaded with '16 points.

My stomach just dropped

Ssssh, they might hear you.

It never occured to me to look @ the UY month(s) that have been being taken back.

I had assumed that their process of ROFR is:

A) they draw a line in the sand as to price per point/per total number of contract. If too low, they take it...i.e., a low-priced small contract, has good chance of being taken. I hope to slip under the wire.:umbrella:

I will be very disappointed if they take my deal. However, & I hate to say it here, :duck:but as an existing owner i want them to keep the price per point at a certain minimum level to retain the 'value' of my existing contracts. It's the contracts like the above BLT that have me shaking my head.:confused3

B) I was almost there for paying full price direct to add on @ AK, guide said I wouldn't likely wait more than a few days for small (50 - 100 pt) addon. My assumption they either sit on certain # of points per UY/resort or

C) they just snag the first viable contract that comes up for ROFR to fill the order.

Anything posted about the ROFR decision process is really just speculation regardless of any apparent trend. I realize there may seem to be a pattern, but it's likely just coincidence.

I'd just try to buy what you want, and if it gets bought back just submit another offer.

It is past the 10 days, so that isn't an option for me. Since this thread is really about ROFR, I created a new thread to explain why I'm having buyers remorse if anyone is curious so as not to clog up this thread with that.

Nothing is random with a multi billion company. There's a logarithm there somewhere, we just need to crack it lol.

We own direct & resale. This would be our 3rd resale purchase.

Re buyers' remorse, I'm a realtor, it happens far more often than you think in the housing industry. I'd be willing to bet after a particularly drawn out purchase process (being leveraged by seller/broker for more $) as well a long wait for ROFR process and having contracts taken back, it's far more prevalent with DVC TS.
