That's really good deal with them paying CC. About $71/pt I think. Just curious.....was this the contract they were asking $99/pt on? There was a stripped contract like that listed the whole time I was looking for that price.

No. This was a contract that never made it to the market. Our Fidelity agent found it for us and asked if we wanted it. With closing costs it was too high for us because there was nothing to rent for 2017, so we offered what they were asking minus closing costs and they shocked us by accepting.

Part of me is worried we are overpaying, but at the same time it is so hard to try to find a small contract that it seems you have to pay high.

Well, it took us another trip to realize DVC is the right way to go! This forum has helped us a ton, so thank you. Here is our first attempt.

I'm pretty convinced Disney will take it. However, I was also convinced that the sellers wouldn't accept our deal, and I was clearly wrong about that. So Here we go. The game plan is to get a 25 point direct contract once we finish paying this one off, and then buy another resale contract at a second resort down the line. We know our goal point value is 250 by the time we're done. That will take awhile, because we're Canadian and our dollar sucks, with no chance of recovering any time soon.

Over last six months did see a 50 pt @ $79 and a 80 pt @ $78 pass. Yet i do have concerns about our add on attempt that was submitted today also ($78 for 70 Dec UY points which includes all '17 & '18)

Not sure if Fidelity's administrative fee of $150 gets rounded up into the per point cost that DVC considers.

I'm angry for you as well. That really sucks. I'm sorry. They have been buying June and August back a lot lately. Maybe look to different use years if you can. Don't know what the strategy is there with those two months, and it could change as I am typing this. I would have HAPPILY sacrificed my September contract currently in ROFR so that your August one would've made it through since I just added-on to my VGF points and am having buyers remorse. Imagine if we could do that?!? I doubt mine will pass either, which is ok for me. I'm aggravated for you though and felt the same way last month when my first one got taken. Hang in there!
