Smooth ride, very fast, just too darn short!

We are going to MGM next year and DS will be 6 1/2yo. He cannot wait to ride RNR....he loves Space Mtn and really likes to go fast. Since the loops/corkscrews are inside and in the dark, he won't be able to see them from the outside....and won't hesitate to go on. He says he can't wait to ride it! ...Neither can we!!

I must admit that I find RnR a bit of a head banger of a coaster - it's certainly not the smoothest of coasters out there.

Still an enjoyable experience though

If I remember right there are 2 loops and 2 corkscrews which we all enjoy (of course we enjoy all of it). This is one of the ride we try to ride as many times as possible.

In response to freddykrueger we have always had a smoth ride with the exception of the take off which will pin you to the back of your seat and never considered that a head banger. could you explain what you mean?

My DD 6yrs was sick as a dog our last visit in March 2004 but she begged and I let her use up all our days at MGM to go on that ride. I figured if she was going to be that sick (102) temp I was going to do anything to make her happy. GO on and have fun.

I usually lover coasters, but something about the extreme takeoff gave me chest pains. After the extreme takeoff I think it goes into a loop and then a corkscrew. This coaster was way too intense for me. I love spacemountain, but this one was too much for this 40 year old. It's very fast and very short. Thank God.

It was probably an unfair comparison - I have ridden the one in Disneyland Paris and it is a rough ride so not sure if the design of the track is slightly different? I came off with a headache....not a good sign
