Rock n' Roller Coaster: How much more intense than Expedition Everest?

RnRC lasts for one minute. You hardly have time to say "hey, I'm upside down". It's very smooth.

DO IT!

DS 11 has done every coaster at WDW except RnRC and wants to give it a try on our upcoming trip. Any thoughts on how big the lines are at the end of a not-very-busy day (a 3 on touring plans)? We are using our tier 1 FP+ for TSMM.

Fyi - RnRC has a single rider line too. So if regular standby is too long, you could try out SR. You would be in line together up to the point the first person gets in. My friend and I did this last trip 3 times in a row and I think it took all of 25 mins or so. And this was the Friday after Thanksgiving so not necessarily low crowds.

IMO, the drop on Everest provides more intense feelings than RnRC. You definitely feel the G's in the backward and drop areas, and that's what gets a lot of people. Yes, you go upside down on RnRC but the first two inversions, I sometimes forget about just because I'm still enjoying the launch feeling. And the G's feel more like the "pin you in your seat" kind, not the "what is my stomach doing" kind.

However, a warning for RnRC. I find that at my 5' height, my ears are the perfect height to bang back and forth in the restraint. So I often come off the ride with a headache, and never have the "oh, let's ride it again!" feeling.

A lot. Very quantitative data I know. Rides are way to subjective, coming from someone who constantly tries to compare them... That said RNRC is maybe 1 minute tops and 3 seconds of that is "intense G's" from the launch. I would give it a try just for don't hold your breath or lean forward durning the launch. One of my favorite rides at WDW just wish it was longer.

I hate roller coasters and the only one I will ride is the RnR because it doesn't have the big drop, the rest of the ride is only about as intense as test track

Thanks. I'd definitely ride with him. Don't want him going on alone to save us a few minutes of waiting time.

I'm a big time roller coaster chicken and spent years working up to EE and RNR, both of which I rode on my last trip. I was OK with the backwards part of EE but the big drop scared the living day lights out of me - I'm not sure I will ever be brave enough to ride it again.

But I was sort of OK with RNR - the fast launch was great because it meant most of the ride was over before I even knew what happened. And because it is dark, my fear of heights never kicked in. I can't say it was the most fun 90 seconds of my life but it is my partner's favorite ride and I will ride it at least once per trip with him in the future.
