Last February, Chef Robert Irvine was removed from his Food Network show, Dinner: Impossible, after it came to light that he had falsified his resume to make his work experience more impressive. Chef Michael Symon was brought in to replace Irvine on the show and the scandal quietly faded away.

Now, in a surprising move, the Food Network has announced that they plan on bringing Irvine back to the show and will be filming six new episodes featured him that will begin airing in March 2009. He says of his return, "I am very excited to continue taping more episodes of 'Dinner: Impossible. I am thrilled to further my relationship with the network and embark on more challenging episodes of this popular series."

I am sooooo happy to hear this! I love Robert Irvine, and I did not like Michael Symon at all as his replacement. Thanks for the update!:)

My wife had the same reaction. She changes the channel if Chef Symon is on.

We love Michael and have really gotten back into the show since he started. We like Robert too but Michael just has a better sense of humor.

I always thought it was a dumb move that they let him go. Michael Symon may be good at some things, but that show was all Robert Irvine. I thought it tanked badly when he was replaced.

You can still see Michael Symon on the Iron Chef shows. I'm sure he'll be showcased another way.

I have never liked Michael Symon since he won out over John Besh in Iron Chef. Besh is the faaaaaar superior Chef.

Yes, I'm a mean, grudge holding person. Sorry, it's true.;)

I am so excited!!!!!!!!! I missed Robert Irvine! My DF is going to be very happy! :)

I honestly haven't seen a show with symon as the host. But I really liked Irving so I am glad he is coming back.

That's great, I Liked him a lot better. Ever since the new guy did the vegetarian rodeo one, I've disliked him completely. I'm a vegetarian and I was really put off by how against it all he was. I think a chef should be able to handle anything thrown at him, especially since he's an iron chef (? I didn't know that!) I've watched Robert Irvine cook some really good veg. dishes, so much so that I've recreated them with the recipes on the food network website.

Well, I guess I will stop watching when he comes back...I haven't missed him at all. I got really tired of his abuse of those in the kitchen with him. And how he would take everything so personal. I like Michael, and will miss him on this show, but I hope this means he will be showing up on ICA more than he has.

Woo hoo! I've only watched one episode with the new guy and I hated it. I :lovestruc Robert Irvine.

I haven't watched the new guy, but I am happy to hear that Robert is coming back. I really liked the show partly because of him. I loved seeing what he came up with.

I stopped watching the show once Robert was booted; glad to start watching it again.:thumbsup2

Our family all feels the same way. While Simon is fine as an Iron Chef, Irvine really made Dinner Impossible his own. We watched the first couple with Simon and have never turned it on since.

I'm glad he is coming back. The show was not nearly as good without him.

My friend was excited to see him last month at the Beach Club at Disney World. She spotted him at the front entrance on his cell phone.
