I haven't done RNR yet but i would love to be brave enough to try - but i saw the disney planning video a few years ago and it looks as it there was a massive drop.

i hate those drops - i feel like i am going to die!

i do splash mountain and BTMR okay - so could i do this?

No drops. A few inversions though.

No big drops, just a fast take off to get the coaster going. Also, it has a couple of inversions. If you don't mind going upside down, go for it!! It is a great ride.

No drops....I can't take them either. But there are some corkscrews and inversions in there. However.....they are so smooth you hardly know their there!!! If it weren't for my shoulders hitting the restraint, I wouldn't know I was upside down. This is one smooth ride.

I love RNR...and I hate the drop in Splash Mt. RNR is so fast, you really don't even know when you are upside down. You never get a feeling like you might fall out. TOT and SM scare me more with the weightless feeling. I hate it....but I do it anyway. Just like I will do Everest...even though the drop is even bigger!

i am not over keen about going upside down but if it is that quick - i think that i can do that.

so last time - you sure there are no big drops?!

as i am coming all the way from the uk - i really want to try and do this.

thanks - you guys are great.

I'm a wimp and did RNR. And like a true wimp, I kept my eyes closed most of the time and screamed - I hardly knew what was going on. I could feel that we were upside down but it's so fast that didn't bother me. The thing I didn't like about it and what's making me wonder if I'll do it next trip was the launch. There was a moment I was gasping for air we were going so fast - some people like that feeling, but it freaked me out.

**Edited to add - if you're coming all the way across the ocean then I think you should definately try it. There are no big drops - I convinced myself that it's in a building, there couldn't be huge hills to go down and that's how I got on, and ultimately I was glad I did it (isn't it weird how you rationalize things with yourself). I think most of the coasters that are launched (no agonizing climb!) are built for twists, turns and loops, which I find enjoyable.

As for the launch, it's about the same speed as the straight away on Test Track (62 mph). If you can handle that, you should have no trouble with RnR's launch. Just make sure you keep your head back and enjoy the tunes.

No drops. I actually like drops but hate going upside down, and I still ride R&R. The ride is so smooth and it's over so quickly that you really have no idea what's going on the whole time. That's kinda cool. :teeth:

I was going to add, we went on it this summer and don't remember any drops at all...just a fast launch and then the corkscrew/upside down stuff. Nothing like you think of when you think of a roller coaster going up high and then dropping down. It didn't have that.

My daughter liked it after she was absolutely terrified of Tower of Terror. It was her first big roller coaster.

Can anyone tell me when the inversions take place? Beginning, end, middle of ride?? How many are there? I've never done RNR before, but I'm thinking of it this year. Ds really wants me to try it. Gulp.

Corkscrew right after launch. 1st loop not long after that, 2nd loop just a little later. The ride is over close to 90 seconds after launch.
