Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout Thread - NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

I wonder how this shows up online. In the past, only the first Fantasmic show had reserved dining seating. If you look at the times in the drop-down menus, the last time slot is 4:30. This is not availability, this is simply the times to search (there may or may not be availability for 4:30). For summer, I would imagine they could allow a 5:30 package, since the first Fantasmic is late, but I've yet to see reserved seating for the second Fantasmic. Do you have a link to the thread?

No, Im sorry. I dont remember which thread I was reading. I have read so many planning for my trip. The person that commented was purely speculating that they would add another show and I was just assuming change the time of the first one. But looking back at times last year it looks like its either 730 for one show or 8 and 930 in the fall. I can tell you when we went the first Fantasmic was later in the evening and looking back at my touring plan the shows were at 9 and 1030. So I am guessing that is why we were able to eat later. We went in June and in March.

It seems like it would need to be at least an hour and a half prior, given the time it takes to eat, get to the venue, find seats. I was under the impression that even with the dining package seating you still needed to show up well in advance of showtime?

My email says you must arrive 30 to 45 min prior to the show starting.

Yup..we are going in August too so I'm double tired. I think it will be like when BoG opened too which was not fun.

I know a lot are waiting for before we go...I was trying to get the notifications to start up again...for some reason this one doesn't seem to work unless I post and didn't have a lot to say.

I leave for WDW IN 11 days. We will be at Animal Kingdom on May 31. I am tired and slightly irritated that they haven't released anything.....dining packages, Jungle Book times, and all the times and more detailed info for the other activities.

It would be disappointing @tiriggs1 to be so close to your dates, know something is happening yet have no real details to plan your day. Hope they announce more details for you soon.

I leave for WDW IN 11 days. We will be at Animal Kingdom on May 31. I am tired and slightly irritated that they haven't released anything.....dining packages, Jungle Book times, and all the times and more detailed info for the other activities.

Same. We leave in 3 days and have AK on the schedule for the 30th. Do we know if they plan to have ROL or Jungle Book packages available by then? We can move it to June 2 if necessary, but that's only a couple extra days.

ETA: Also, we have our night safari FP booked for 9:15-10:15. Will that interfere with any possible night show? Should we move it up?

That is where my frustration comes from. There have been rumored show times, but nothing confirmed. There are supposed to be Jungle Book dining packages, but nothing confirmed. Disney is releasing more info on May 20 and the new Tiffin's restaurant will begin taking reservations. That is all we know for sure.

I can't imagine leaving so soon with none of this figured out. How frustrating!

As of right now we have a 5:25 ADR at Sanaa on Sept 16. I really want to try Sanaa but am now thinking we should just get an ADR inside park once those become available so we don't have to leave and come back for evening stuff.

I agree. We will arrive on June 3rd and not only can we not solidify our plans for AK, but we can't complete our plans for HS as well. In AK as you mentioned we don't know dining packages, Jungle Book times and etc. In the Studios there is nothing yet on the new Star Wars fireworks show, dessert parties or etc. It is very frustrating that the room was booked 11 months out, ADR's 180 days in advance, FP+ 60 days in advance and here I am waiting on Disney to release information still for the month of June... Ughhh... It is what it is.

Thanks I missed it. I was looking for the new show called Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular where Disney had it on it's website that it would debut in June... Well in typical Disney fashion that is not going to happen and still shows on their website coming in June. With what you just told me I see that it is the old show with limited dates for the whole month of June... Looks like we are going to hit HS early in the morning, ride RnRc, ToT, TSM and a few other attractions and get out of that park by noon. It's nothing but a hot mess right now with all the work going on and no reason to stay there into the evening

Already have a dinner ADR at Trail End on the 8th and the 10th is our last day, planned on spending that night at MK. Guess I could try and squeeze it in on the 5th, but already going to AK in the am & Epcot in the pm. Thanks for the info.

I feel your pain @tiriggs1 I'm leaving on Sunday and there are so many things that aren't confirmed! Oh well, just having to go with the flow.

same with us. Our DHS day was June 6 and there are 6 of us and I cannot change the FP or ADRs. We will go to HS on the evening of June 5 but not all of our party can go. I was going to AK that night but now we are likely going to go June 6 or 7. Lot more park hopping the trip than expected.
