Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout Thread - NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

There *will* be something in September and October. It's likely to be nightly, but until the hours are extended and Disney figures out the Jungle Book / ROL transition.

I think $67 for Tiffins doesn't sound as bad as $49 for lunch/dinner at Tusker House.

Similar to the popular Fantasmic! Dining Packages at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Dining Package includes reserved seating for the nighttime show. At all-you-care-to-eat Tusker House Restaurant, you can choose the breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet on the day of the show (but you have to dine at least 2 ½ hours before the show). Breakfast is $37, $23 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity; lunch and dinner, $49, $30 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tusker House Restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as one table-service meal.

At Tiffins, the package includes your choice of appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage at either lunch or dinner. The Dining Package is $67 for adults, $32 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tiffins is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as two table-service meal credits.

Reservations will open tomorrow, May 21 for Tiffins restaurant as well as Dining Packages for The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic nighttime show, and can be made by visitingDisneyWorld.com/dine or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

For the two of us it'd be $134 vs. $98 for all you can eat... I get that you "get" an app, dessert and non alcoholic beverage, but we rarely order that stuff. Usually one app and entree to split and sometimes a beer, or else just water. Almost never dessert... I'd be fine paying a bit more for the fast pass, but I think in this case that is a LOT to pay for a ~20 minute (not sure what the run time will really be) temporary show. I think I'll just try to grab a fast pass on my own for it if they're still planning to do that and have dinner on my terms. ;)

I don't see an option for flame tree mentioned, was that pulled?

I totally agree with this. 67 per person does not sound bad for a signature restaurant... If it's really $67 w/ an app, entree, dessert and drink, I may consider not using the dining plan on this...

$67 for Tiffins is comparable to the Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic! package. Not sure why everyone is so surprised at $67. HBD for Fantasmic is $69. Both signatures, both night time shows.

Hmm, not sure about anyone else, but we prefer Fantasmic! in Disneyland and have never done the package at WDW... so I just didn't know the price point. :)

:rotfl:I'm already trying to decide if I would have a worse Saturday waking up early and fighting with it or just going with the flow and maybe missing out if I just try for the FP later on...

Awwww.... come on. You can't win if you don't play.

I'm having flashbacks to my own preparations for the day BOG first opened for reservations in 2012:

That day was fun! I remember calling and saying I need a reservation for any day from opening until December for 6 and they were like um we need a date and I was like you pick one haha I live here and will go whatever day you can get me a reservation. I finally had to tell them dates and when it came back no I was like okay the next day the next day the next day until we finally found one. I didn't know they couldn't just plug in a range of dates to see what would be available kind of like you can with opentable.

At least you got through! I spent all morning in a panic since I couldn't get through. Thankfully both my friend and travel agent got through at all. :cool1: It was a wild morning.

Looks like the Flame Tree package never materialized.

That's great!! Where are you seeing this? MDE, Disney.com and Touring Plans are still showing closing in September at the current 'normal' times.

Sorry yes I was just looking at Disney hours for my travel dates. We are planning on hitting up AK on Sept 4th. Looks like I barely squeaked by.
