I refuse to support Disney Lakeshore Lodge because it completely DESTROYS the spiritual feng shui of Bay Lake.

First of all, the lake has been emotionally bonded to Wilderness Lodge since 1994. You can’t just drop a new resort in there like it’s an IKEA nightstand and expect the ducks to emotionally adjust.

Second, the walking path is now 17 seconds longer to my theoretical room that I don’t own yet but might buy resale in 2037, and that is unacceptable for my knees, my vibes, and my touring plan spreadsheet.

Third—and this is the big one—the reflections on the water will now be slightly different at sunset, which ruins the exact mental screenshot I’ve been using as my lock screen since 2008.

And don’t get me started on how this will definitely increase boat traffic by 0.3 boats per hour, which means Disney is CLEARLY overdeveloping, despite the fact that I also complain every day that there aren’t enough DVC rooms available.

Hard pass. I’ll stick with Copper Creek… unless Lakeshore Lodge has a better point chart, in which case I’ve always loved it and the theming is actually very tasteful.

I've heard a lot of people say that. I'm not sure what the wow factor is for, e.g., BCV as a building. I am sure many people see it, but I don't seem to be one of them.

This made me laugh. I have stayed a few times at BCV for the pool and proximity to Epcot - we've had no view, road noise, tiny balconies not worth sitting on, and it's way the heck back there! And yet - no one
"complains" about any of that. Not to mention the nonexistent counter space in the kitchen and the strange layout with the main bath and all. those. doors. And the "quiet pool" back there? It's quiet because it is a sad, sad little pool with no shade.

You aren't kidding. Once upon a time, many (many!) years ago, I attracted the ire of a few Fort Campers here on IDS. It was a very organized and near-ceaseless response.
