Rita's Ice Anyone?

My brother owns a Rita's in Delaware.....we had so much fun last summer going "behind the scenes" with cups and spoons and trying all sorts of combos!

My kids are regulars at our Rita's, at least four times a week. I like the Swedish fish flavor but it's sweet. I usually just end up with lemon, yum.

Thank you OP for mentioning this! I forgot we had one near us and went for the first time last night. I had the swedish fish and my fiance had some kind of blended thing. I only got half of mine because my fiance kept taking mine from me. It was so very good. We went again today and both got the swedish fish this time. I think if you like swedish fish you will like the ice version. Plus they gave us free packets of the candy too.

We had never heard of Rita's til this summer when we visited friends in Florida. I guess they had one in NJ where they lived, and after moving to Florida a couple years ago were excited to see a "taste" of home.

I had mango, DH & DS had watermelon and other DS had birthday cake. We all got it with the custard....it was SO good! I wish there was one near us, but I had never heard of it til we went with our friends. I think I'd like to try it without the custard...has to be less fattening, right?

My fave as far as just ice was the lemon. But its now lemonade and i'm not fond of it.

ITA! The plain old Lemon Ice was my favorite, Alex's Lemonade is just not the same.

Wild Black Cherry is my 2nd Fave.

Pina Colada a close 3rd. (Bring it home & add a splash of Coconut Rum)

I tried a sample of the Swedish fish flavor a week ago and the first bite tasted like SF, but after that it reminded me of cough syrup .

My favorite flavors are vanilla and rootbeer ice. I also like the raspberry Misto (which I don't get often because raspberry is rarely made any more).

I happened to stop by Rita's today and enjoy some freshly made cookies-n-cream ice. Yay!

Many of you may enjoy the "island fusion" flavour; it's a mix of coconut, mango, & passionfruit.

Rita's has also added some new sugar-free ices this season: pineapple, chocolate, & mango-peach, in addition to their standard sugar-free ices: cherry, pink lemonade, root beer, & tangerine.

If anyone has any questions about Rita's, I'd be glad to answer. It was a great place to work and I am still a huge fan of the company. I enjoy pimping it out, so to speak.

I also like the raspberry Misto (which I don't get often because raspberry is rarely made any more).

It's up to whoever is making the ice that day to decide which flavours are made. If you feel that raspberry hasn't been in the rotation often enough, feel free to make a comment to the employee that you've really been craving raspberry and they'll probably make up a batch within the next week. As an aside, have you tried the Misto with raspberry AND blueberry (or the new blue raspberry would work as well)? If not, do it!

Lemon and Alex's Lemonade are the exact same flavour. Google "Alex's Lemonade" to find out why Rita's now calls its lemon flavour Alex's Lemonade.
