I know people have been saying rise has been running before early entry starts - is this still true?

We will be visiting end of August and are planning to rope drop rise then slinky. We will be staying at POP, is it feasible to use the sky liner? and what time should we leave the resort to get there early enough for a rise early entry rope drop?
Thank you!

They line everyone up before early entree. Last time I was there they made an announcement right at the start of early entree (8:30 when I was there ) than they walked everyone to the queue. The rides didn't go early. But.. people who have been in the line for prolly an hour get a fast ride and folks who show up right before it starts most likely a 30-45min.

When I was there mid-March, Rise started running before early entry. Early entry was at 8, but they opened the park gates at 7:30, I was getting in line for rise by 7:39 and in the preshow by 7:45. I was off Rise and walking to Smugglers before early entry officially started at 8.

I hope they still do this!

Oh wow. !

We went mid May. Our sons went one day by themselves and one day with us. Both days, HS let guests in at 7:30.The first day the boys arrived at 7:40 they had a short wait-maybe 15-30minutes. The day we arrived at 7:00, we walked right on when it opened at 7:30. In fact, we get a lot done by 9:30.

We were at HS on Thursday, and were 15th in our lane at the turnstile. We were let into the park at 7:45 and headed straight to RoTR (all the while silently praying please don’t be down). We were behind a good number of people as we didn’t fast run our way there.

Walked right into the stand by line, and finished the ride at 8:15.

Headed to MFSR, barely a 15 minute wait and was off the ride by 8:40.

what were you able to get done by 9:30?

Was just there last weekend, including holding an ILL pass for Saturday morning when the ride was down from park open until about 4PM. They didn't have a single rider on that day until the late afternoon. I found it interesting - it had gone down the night before as well, but there were only maybe 6 CMs outside the ride answering questions. I went up to shoot the **** with one who told me "the ride went down 15 minutes ago" to which I responded, "so I'll see you in 30?" and she smiled and nodded her head. The next day, which began with the closure, there were at least 25+ CMs outside of the gate to answer question - that was my first sign that something was going to be wrong and it was going to be awhile (rode later that day after it went back up)

Got paired when I was finally riding with a father and son who had EE rope dropped to Rise only to wait 40 minutes and be told that the rise was down. They were each given an all-day LL to use later that day since they had used EE specifically to ride (but they did have to ask).
