RIP Catostrophe Canyon(Catastrophic Ending)

I was feeling nostalgic towards this attraction and other attractions in DHS after looking at these photos, so I went to Youtube and searched for MGM Studios. A video came up of this guy that went around the park (early February of this year) showing parts of MGM Studios that are still there. He had really good view of Catastrophe Canyon still mostly in piece, and he showed Walt's airplane. I completely forgot about that part of the tour. He questioned what was going to happen to the airplane, and I'm wondering the same thing.

That video tour of MGM was excellent! Thanks for posting!

Adam the Woo was banned from Disney for a while. Glad to see they are letting him back in.

It was a cool attraction, but the backlot tour had degenerated so much that this was the only fun part left. I also liked the similar one at Universal in the subway, but that's gone too (they still do it at Universal Hollywood - now that's a backlot tour!). Alas, it is time for new things and Hollywood Studios desperately needs them.

Never been to WDW, but I can't imagine how I'd feel about that backlot tour after several runs through the USH tour.....with a bona fide backlot. Granted most of the USH tour is fabricated stricty for the ride, but you do actually move through part of actual street sets.

He hired a lawyer and protested the ban. A few times and they let him in to ease up the daily phone calls. He did A Video on it.

He's a HUGE Disney fan so I think that he'll behave now. He got a little overzealous at one point but I'm glad that everything appears to be forgiven now.

I loved this tour, and I have fond memories of it. It was obviously closed when I visited last year (and I remember we went on it in 2005) so I was a little disappointed, (especially as my partner had never been to Disney in her life and I wanted her to experience it).

However, I can imagine riding it in 2015/16 would have led to me thinking 'this needs updating'. It was super cool back then, but I'm all for Star Wars and Toy Story expansions!

Oh yea, we did that once. If I remember there were homes and props at the end.
