Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

I'm glad you waited and found a doctor who you're more comfortable with  I'm already really looking forward to seeing pics from Bellarie's party!

Your pics did help! :) It was fun to see everything in person that I've seen on the computer.

I pictured you guys walking around looking at the Potato Heads, Big Wheel, and such. :goodvibes

Kona looks delicious!! We have an ADR in May for breakfast. Love the Tonga Toast.

LOVE the pic of Bella with the bread:cutie: Wow that is some bread!!

Hey I would buy a big ol Disney Chia Pet. Put it right on my front lawn with my Tinkerbell birdbath!!

The Polynesian Resort is just so pretty. One of my favorite breakfasts ever is when Jill, Brooklynn, and I (and a few ducks) sat out on the patio among the palm trees and sunshine and ate Tonga Toast one beautiful October morning on Jill's birthday trip.

We've gotta get on that Chia Pet idea. ::yes::

The food at Kona looks so good! We have never eaten there but it is on my list for next time, I really want to go there for breakfast!

You can get some of the same breakfast things at Captain Cook's, so until you get to Kona, that's a good option.

I think he does too , boy is this shopping list for September getting long !:rotfl:

Very nice updates :thumbsup2

I love the topiaries , I wish they did more of them around the parks and not just for the Flower & Garden festival !

Awe the Poly my favorite hotel , we came very close to booking this for September but the DH wanted to stay at the WL & he doesn't ask for much so he got his pick ! Plus it saved money ! lol

Kona is soo yummy , never ate dinner there but did lunch & got the Kona Club and it was to die for !

No more resort merchandise ? Just when I realize there is such a thing and was looking forward to purchasing some in September , they take it away ! Keeping my fingers crossed it's still available in September !

Wilderness Lodge is awesome! We loved it, and we will return for future trips. :)

I don't know about September. I'm hoping there's something left in May! Keep saving those pennies for all of your souvenirs. :thumbsup2

NO!!! not yet anyways! :lmao: I can definitely say that I am not there yet!

Whenever you're ready....

Our schedule is:
-Mother's Day
-summer
-October
and either
-Thanksgiving or Christmas/New Year's

hopefully.

So, you just let us know which trip the quarters come out. :)

Oooh! Prince Naveen would be something good to wish for! I bet many ladies would wish for him! Too cute!

I bet many ladies wish for him, too!

I guess I'll let somebody else have him....

this time. :goodvibes

Oh, I do hope you guys head to Busch Gardens someday!! Maggie and I can be your grand tour guides. Maybe Rinky and anyone else in this part of the world would come meet up too!:goodvibes

We loved our 'Ohana dinner. The noodles are delish! Of course, I never had the potatoes to compare so...

I loved all the topiary pictures! I'm looking forward to seeing the F&G ones in a couple of weeks and then the Christmas ones this year too! Your pictures of the Poly made me smile-we sooooo loved our stay there last year!

We'll be happy for a DIS meet when we get up that way. :dance3:

I love springtime in Epcot. The flowers are more beautiful than ever, and all the F&G stuff is so much fun to look at. I loved all the stuff in Garden Town and all of the educational things at the Butterfly Garden.

LOL!!! Oh my goodness, I just love the picture of Bella trying to eat the bread!!!!! So precious!!!

She would have put a big dent in that bread, too. All by herself!

Just a Bellarie update for anyone who isn't on facebook -

I feel really good after talking to Dr. Grant. He is a pediatric craniofacial plastic surgeon, which means he only does plastic surgery on small faces. He said normally he see these tumors on the outside of the eye not the inside like Bellarie's. He said he has done plenty of these surgeries and that if it were more on the bridge of her nose it would be more concerning. So now she is scheduled for surgery at Birmingham's Children's Hospital on April 26th. We have to wait a little longer than if we were doing it in Huntsville, but I'll wait for a doctor who specializes in this kind of surgery.

Now to focus on Bellarie's party and other fun stuff until surgery on the 26th.

Yay for fun fun in the Hundred Acre Wood!!! :cool1:

Aw our poor baby girl.

Jill, glad you found a doctor that you will feel comfortable with. Waiting a little longer is definitely worth it for piece of mind. Good luck with everything

Fun update, Kona looks pretty yummy! We are almost to the Big Night.

Jill, I am glad you are happy with the 2nd opinion. That is one precsious little face that deserves only the best. On to the party-what is the date??

Waiting for the best in the field is a good thing!!!

I think she felt much more relaxed and comfortable about it all after yesterday. He said she'd only be under anesthesia for about 30 minutes. It made Jill feel good when he pretty much told her that it would only take a few minutes, but Bella was 'an important piece of real estate', or something to that affect, and he wouldn't get in any hurry. He gave more details, I think, and that made her feel better. We will appreciate all good thoughts and prayers for Bella on the 26th, and we are very grateful it appears to be a quick and easy fix. Don't you know she's going to be as cute as she can be with her little bitty little swollen eye and great big Bella smile!!! :lovestruc Jill will be ready to have a happy Mother's Day Disney trip as a reward a couple of weeks later. :)

Mmmmmm - that terriyaki steak at Kona is sooooooo good!! :thumbsup2 But, the bread and butter is almost an equal rival. :goodvibes

That's great news that this doc is confident it will be a quick fix. It is good when you get one that explains things like he did. Hooray for the Pooh party!!!!!

I'm so glad you got the second opinion and that you feel more comfortable with the new doctor.

Great news about the doctor. Feeling comfortable is a very important thing!! Glad to hear you feel good about him and a date for the surgery.

I'm glad to hear that you found a dr you are happy with. I can't wait to see Pooh and the gang at Bella's birthday party.

Jill-glad to hear about the specialist you found for Bella! I'm sure it was a little weight lifted off your shoulders after talking with him. I will keep yall in my thoughts and prayers! Especially of the 26th!!

Jill, it's great that you sought out the second opinion and are more comfortable with this doctor.

I'm glad you went with you gut on this so you can go into it with complete confidence!

LOL ! I will def be saving every penny I can get for all those goodies !

Jill, glad to hear that you were able to find a specialist for Bella's surgery . I'm sure with a specialist it makes you breathe a little easier about the whole thing .

Great updates MeMom! I love the Poly too - its on my list. My REALLY long list of Disney hotels to stay in!!! (along with POP!, POFQ, The Contemporary and the GF!!!)

Are you still going to skip back to your October trip after this report is done???

I am hoping all these babies start to come soon... my close friend had another baby girl today. Called Madeleine! My sister-in-law is due any-day now too! Plus Julie and Erica! Come on babies!!!

I was pleased to read about Bella's new surgeon. You have to go with Mummy's instinct. I have learnt that A LOT since becoming a Mummy!

I'm glad Jill found a doctor she is comfortable with. My daughter had to have two eye surgeries, one at 3 yrs. and one at 4 yrs. The first one was by a doctor we really like, the second one was by a different doctor. He was a fine doctor, it is just easier when you feel comfortable with the doctor.

So true - it is all so good! I feel like a pig when I am eating that bread, but it and the butter are just too tempting to resist.

I can tell Jill is feeling much better about the whole thing. Now we just spend this next month having party fun until it gets here, and before you know it, it will be all over. We so very much appreciate all the good thoughts, prayers, and concern for her.

Somebody asked about the October trip. We do have pictures from that; I think they are all on Jill's external hard drive, because I don't have them on this computer. We intended to start that as soon as this one was finished to carry us on until summer. Now it might be that we do two short reports from October and Mother's Day before the summer trip.

Speaking of Mother's Day...

my already awesome daughter has worked it out for us to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, so we'll get a little more time in WDW. As of now, we're leaving after school Thursday and driving to Perry, then finishing out on Friday morning. She's still looking at flights for Thursday night, though, so we'll see. With it being Mother's Day weekend, nothing very cheap may be possible. Either way, getting there by Friday at lunch time will still be better than Friday night. :dance3:

Well that's good news! Who wouldn't like an extra day at Disney :goodvibes What a good daughter you have!

Hey MeMom and Jill...rumor is they will be starting the Wishes dessert party again in the next few days. I'm thinking of going on Saturday the 8th...want to join us? Lots of desserts and tons of fruit from what I have seen! (plus some pretty nice company :flower3:)

Such great news about the new surgeon, I'm glad Jill found someone that she feels confident in. :goodvibes
How exciting that you are going to get more time on your Mother's Day weekend! What a nice surprise!

Have fun planning that birthday party!
