Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Good luck to Trent with the interview...and  to you for having him possibly moving so far away.

If he does, then I will try my best to get in the four trips a year that I'd like to take anyway. If I could do that, and then he could be here 2-3 times a year, and then meet halfway 1-2 times, I think I'll be okay. Sometimes we don't see each other for a few days but for fleeting seconds, if at all, and that's with him right here. His schedule and mine are so different, and we'll pass each other on the road sometimes and wave. I'll want to see him at least once every month or so, I know. If he would have gone to college, I would have already been through this transition in life, but with his bad accident and him ending up staying at home, things just fell into place for him to stay here. We get along fine, so there was no sense for him to go pay for another place to stay. On weekends, he and Drew both stay with friends often, and the house is quiet, so I have already sort of been preparing for the day when they are both gone.

 I know that must be hard for you. My mom went through the same thing when I left home and got married, since that left her home alone. It was really hard on her. I don't even want to think about it with my DD. We've already told her that she cannot go off to college and she cannot move out of town! :lmao:

It really doesn't seem fair though does it? You spend your whole adult life raising your kids and putting all your time, effort, and money into them, and then they grow up and leave you behind. :sad2: Sometimes I think life was better in the old days when families lived together throughout their lives and worked their farms together. It doesn't always seem that we have really "progressed" like we think we have. I hope whatever is best for you and Trent is what will come of this.

I think it would be great if you could find a nice Disney loving man to spend the rest of your life with. There's got to be one out there somewhere. Widg found Shocker! There's must to be more than one Shocker out there! Maybe one day soon a prince charming will come along for you and maybe he will be rich too so you can retire from teaching and spend your days planning lots of Disney trips! Hey if we're going to put in an order, let's dream big, right!

Please keep us posted on Trent's job news!

I have been so out of the loop and didn't realize we had a budding DIS romance. That is so sweet and they look like a great couple.

How exciting for Trent! I feel sad for you though Memom. I know you will be happy for him, but I also know you will miss him. He seems like a great guy to have around. Maybe you will save enough on your grocery bill to take those extra trips. :rotfl:

Last one! I wasn't sure which Dinasaur picture you wanted so I posted all the ones I could find.

Notice the Blackberry Trent is holding? It goes so well with the pink backpack!

Seems like a good place to work, Trent said, and I know he will do a great job if he is hired. Thanks for the hug, 'cause I'll probably need a few hundred if/when he goes. Two hours away is bad enough with Jill. I cry when I leave them, but I know I'll see them about every other to every third week. With a ten hour commute, that won't be the case.

What is best for him is what it should be. I would not want to hold him back from having a wonderful grown-up life of his own. He is a lot of fun to be around, no doubt.

Hmmm, I'll have to see if Shocker has a single brother!
Or cousin.
Or friend.
Not in Kansas.
That would be far too far away from my kids!!!

That retiring from teaching part - I LIKE IT! :goodvibes

She commented on one of her pictures that it made her happy when he was happy to enter Magic Kingdom as she was. ;)

My grocery bill will drop drastically! :rotfl:
I will probably be able to take a trip or two on the drop in groceries. ::yes::

He is an awesome guy, and maybe he'll get to meet more DIS friends if he ends up down there.

I'm starting to feel really bad because they'll only be 2 hours away from me :guilty: As often as I go to Orlando it won't be as sad for me! I have an idea - as soon as Drew moves out, you can move to Huntsville, that's not as far away is it? Jamie has been out on her own once before so I kindof got used to it so this hasn't been so bad this time (not to mention she's been home every weekend :goodvibes)

I am home with a little girl who was sick this morning at school but has seemed fine since she woke up around 9:30. Thought I would update with some snow pictures (Sorry MeMom! You just get to see red X's. You'll have something to look forward to this afternoon.)

All bundled up ready to head out.

She has been DYING to make a snow angel but it has always been too cold or raining before she can do it. She finally got the chance.

Can you see it? It's like one of those magic eye pictures. Put the computer up to your nose and then slowly pull away from it. There it is!! Do you see it now?!?!?!

Bellarie was eating cheerios inside while Brooklynn played in the backyard.

Brooklynn would throw snow at the window since Bella was watching her. Bella loved it!

The video I took won't load. I have no idea what is wrong. Maybe it will work later and then I'll post it.

Aw tell Brookie I said that's the most beautiful snow angel I've ever seen!

Looks like Bella loves her cheerios! Those are a great little snack for kids to eat, IMO.

That snow angel is just perfect!! I hope she is feeling better soon! Liam has been home for the last 3 days with a stomach bug too.

I see the snow angel!!! :lmao: Brooklyn did a great job!

I would have been hanging out with Bella and eating Cheerios -- I don't do cold very well. ;)

I did not realize it either. That is so great... a couple that sort of met on the dis boards.

All the best for Trent. Glad his interview went well.

Who needs E Harmony and all those other dating websites that apparently charge a fortune ( that's what all my single girlfriends tell me) when you can visit the Dis-boards for Free! :rotfl: and look, the moms can even pre-screen all potential suitors to make sure that they are the right fit!

Hope I'm not being too nosey, but are you in Jacksonville? That is where I lived for 7 years before moving to the Nashville area.

I love all the pictures. Snow pictures are the best, after Disney pictures, of course:)

No, Gainesville. I have a sister that teaches at UNF in Jax. They live in Julington Creek. It's a nice area!

:lmao: I told them they owe a lot to the Disboards (their moms in particular)! We're looking out for Jarvis now!

I lived about 3 miles from Julington Creek on the other end of Racetrack Rd in Bartram Springs. I loved it there! I manage real estate and for a few years managed the doctor buildings surrounding North FL Regional Med Center in Gainesville so would go there about once a week. It is such a pretty town.
