Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

What a devastating loss! I feel so bad for you!:sad1: We don't get to go to a Disney store very often. The closest one is an hour away, but everytime we go to that town, we always go to the store. You are right. It is a little taste of Disney at home. I always get that warm fuzzy feeling when I'm in there. We may go there in the next few weekends. If so, I'll take a few pictures for you. That's the best I can do to ease your pain.:sad2:

There is also a Disney Store in Myrtle Beach that we visit when we are on vacation. We might get to go there in June. I actually think they have 2 stores there. But I like your solution. Just go to WDW more often!

We will be happy to enjoy your Disney Store visits with you now. We always tried to take pictures to show for those who didn't have stores nearby, and now we'll just have to rely on others for the same thing.

I would love to be able to go to WDW 4 times a year. My perfect thing, without it being too much, would be a spring trip, a summer trip, an October trip, and either a Thanksgiving or Christmas (but not both) trip.

Look at the cute Disney dolls I added to my signature. :lovestruc them!!!!

Very cute. You have been DIS busy today, haven't you?

Thanks for the Disney shopping trip! Sorry that you are losing your stores, but I do like your solution!
The girls looked like they enjoyed that shopping and eating! The spring clothes looked adorable, did you take anything home?
How fun to see a monkey at the mall!

Jill bought some things. Maybe she will share.

Our food was good. Jill got Monterey chicken, and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. I used a coupon one of my students had gotten me for Christmas, so that was extra nice. :thumbsup2

Oh good idea!

I'm sorry about your Disney Stores :sad2:

I'm about to leave the house to go somewhere besides the doctor for the first time in almost a week! I've been  all week, but I'm MUCH better now. I'm heading to my aunt and uncle's house, and I might get to see Caleb! Who just started walking!!! I can't believe it! Kazin's about 2 months older and he hasn't started yet!

Have a good Sunday!

Kids walk at different times. I thought Bella would walk early, since she's so active, but she's taking her own sweet time. Drew was fourteen months old to the day when he walked. He had a lot of ear troubles, and that kept him off balance a lot.

Hope you feel better every day!

Great updates! I was several days behind. I loved the parade pictures, it looks so fun! Glad you were able to spend the day with the girls.

I need to get back to cleaning because we are having people over for a Super Bowl party. GO COLTS!!!!!

Sounds like a fun evening at your house! :cheer2:

Looks like a fun day with the girls! I'm so sorry about your Disney stores. I was at the mall yesterday and went to the Disney store and took pictures to share and then my dd needed my camera for a scavenger hunt bday party! She deleted all my pictures!! Thank goodness the memory card wasn't in there with Disney pictures!
Too funny about Brooklynn's response about going to Disney!

I would cry if someone deleted my Disney pictures before I got them loaded.

The way Brooklynn said it was funny. She was like, "Wellllll, I'm watching a movie right now." It was the same tone of voice you'd use to put someone off for about ten minutes and then you'd get on it. :goodvibes

Thanks for the wonderful parade pics MeMom!! I love the bright colors of it all!!
Glad you could spend the day with your girls but sad about the Disney stores.
It looks like they had some really cute things. The closest one we had (20 min) was small & did not carry a lot of things. It has been closed for over a year now. I do all my Disney shopping online now. (or when we take our trips & buy at Disney).
Brooklynn looked like she was really enjoying the movie & Bella looked like she was loving all the stuffed toys!!

I guess my shopping will be done online now, too. Right now, it is best that I do NO shopping.

That was a very bittersweet update! It was sweet because you got to spend time with your 2 little girls, and again sweet because you were able to go to the Disney store. Then it got sad...starting with saying goodbye to the Disney store, and then saying goodbye to your sweet Brooklynn and Bella. That must not have been a very car ride home.:sad1: Hopefully you played a Disney CD to cheer you up!

I need to make sure that I do not take my Disney store for granted. As far as I know we will not be losing ours. I was just in there the other day and it just makes me happy being in that store- even if I have nothing to shop for.

Hope you are having a nice Sunday, we are neither Saints nor Colts fans. If we had to choose we would favor the Colts winning as we are NY Giants fans...so we will go with the Manning theme!

I don't care about pro sports period. I think they make far, far too much money for playing a game. That's just my opinion.

I have lots of Disney CD's, but yesterday I had in a gospel hymns CD. :)

So very, very, very sad that both your Disney stores are closing. :( Although if it means more Disney trips, it might have a silver lining after all.

Lunch at Chili's sounds delightful! I am so hungry right now perhaps I should go make dinner.

I only wish it meant more Disney trips. What it means is less Disney shopping. :upsidedow

I'm thinking pizza sounds good right now. I don't fix it very often, but sometimes I get a craving for one.

I told Brooklynn to go tell Mommy it was time for us to go back to Disney World.

She said, "Well, I'm watching a movie right now." :rotfl:

So cute! :rotfl: I love all the things that she comes out with!

Sorry you guys are losing the other Disney Store. The one nearest us is not great. Like LL said, this one doesn't have any of the fixtures and it's really small -- not at all like the one that closed at the same mall a while back. I was SO excited for it to reopen, and it was such a letdown.

I'm glad you got to see your girls!

:rotfl: Thankfully it was just the store! If I had my memory card in it with pictures from the trip that I didn't even upload yet then I would of been mad.
That Disney parks online store is dangerous. I discovered it last week and ordered a mug and the 4 parks CD set.;)
Too cute! Cherish those moments forever. :cutie:
Is Bella's appointment this week? I'm sure she'll walk soon!

Feb2010044.jpg

I gave that dress to my niece for Christmas :goodvibes

Sorry your store is going...at least it was a good excuse to see your girls!

She's so cute with all of her inquisitive thinking. She was looking at some birds out the window of Chili's yesterday. She said, "They are in the street, and they are not holding hands."

I am going to pray to the Disney gods to give us one of those great interactive Disney Store in the future. :thumbsup2

It is dangerous, but I am so much better at not buying stuff online than I am in person.

Bella's appointment is Wednesday. Hopefully, the doctor will have a quick fix planned and it'll be done soon.

Sorry your store is going...at least it was a good excuse to see your girls!

There are so many cute Disney clothes. I guess that will be the one thing I will give in to in my new online shopping activities. I will still want to buy the girls some clothes occasionally.

I have second grade writing to grade before tomorrow and here I sit on the DIS.... on your thread. What's wrong with this picture?:lmao:

Your onto me...I've been Dising on and off all day....:surfweb:

I decided to take a quiet day and do nothing....I did book our trip today!

We will be staying at POP! Just us girls! 13 nights! :dance3:(the three of us doing the happy dance today)

I can't wait to see what you come up with for decorations & games for Bella's Winnie the Pooh Party! pooh:

Lexi's bday isn't until April, I'm just an early planner.

I havn't been to ATL since 2007.

I hope Bella's apt goes well on Wednesday.

Great shopping and pictures of sweet little girls!:goodvibes Sorry they have closed both of your stores. They closed our Disney store a couple of years ago.:sad2: There's another about 45-50 minutes away so while it is not ideal, it is doable. I am slammed busy the next 3 weekends but I think on my first free one I will have to head over and get my Disney fix before my April trip.

I'm glad I'm not alone! I have work to do and I have to get up at 5 AM for jerry duty. What am I doing now you ask? Look at my little green light!:sad2:

I witnessed Caleb walking today! He doesn't walk very far. Just a few steps and then he falls over.

I was VERY excited to see Caleb, Jeremy, and Leslie(Caleb's mommy). I don't see them very often so it was exciting! AND as an extra surprise...Josh came by with Kazin!!! I got to see both of my little buddies! I haven't seen the two of them together in a few months. They're adorable together. They were chasing each other down the hall, crawling at top speed. Then when they were both in the playpen, Caleb got upset and started crying and Kazin went over to see him and then Caleb stopped crying. It was so sweet :lovestruc

Jeremy and Leslie were giving Caleb a bath and apparently Caleb gets really happy when he's naked :rotfl: Before he got in the tub he crawled out of the bathroom and started crawling back and forth down the hall, completely naked, and he was giggling like crazy. It was so cute

With all this excitement, I almost forgot that it's time to do the single digit dance! :dance3:

caught up again.

great pics and updates.

I never saw that day parade before, it looks like fun.

We lost our store too, I just use the internet now. :sad1:

If you are Dising,
you are just practicing reading and writing,
which you need for those papers. Right? :)

I try to do as little schoolwork at home as I possibly can. I only do it when I have to or when I am in the mood to do it and I'd just rather get it over with than wait to do it at school. I am a firm believer in not taking the job home to whatever degree that is possible. I used to bring things home every day, and I really began to resent it. Now, I just make better use of my time at school, and I simplify things whenever possible. Even if I am doing nothing more than regular household chores all weekend, I am not thinking about school.

You booked your trip! :dance3:
And what a nice long trip it is!

Bella's birthday is not until April, either. We're working on it because we'd much rather be thinking of fun things than work and bills, etc.. A sweet little girl, a birthday party, and a Disney theme are the perfect combination for happiness! :goodvibes

I think they'll be able to do this and leave a scar so small you have to have a magnifying glass to see it when it is all healed.

:confused3 I see nothing wrong!

Me, either. Dising is a wonderful Sunday evening activity.

And a nice Monday morning activity, as I whisk myself away for another few minutes before I get back into full school mode.

You're in very good company!:rolleyes1

It's nice to gather 'round the computer in the company of good Dis friends. :)

You probably should go while you can! When we heard the first one was shutting down, we were grateful to have the one about 45 minutes away, too. Now, it's the one that is closing, so it'll be three hours for us! That's not going to be happening too often. :sad2:

I'm glad I'm not alone! I have work to do and I have to get up at 5 AM for jerry duty. What am I doing now you ask? Look at my little green light!:sad2:

Everybody has their escapes from real life. It is a good thing to scrapbook, sew, ride bikes, run, work on cars, garden, take pictures, paint, play sports, or do whatever we need to do to just put some fun in our lives. I was all work and little play and NO vacations for a long, long time, and when I look back on it, I know it was too long and not good for me mentally. After I learned the joy of rest and vacations again, I have a much more positive attitude about everything. Dising is one of my little pleasures, so I just look at it as you guys being good for my mental health! :thumbsup2

It's fun to have a house filled with people you love. Little ones are cute together. I am glad you enjoyed that special family time.

I am also excited that your trip is so close. It will surely brighten up a cold winter to be down there in the sunshine and beautiful palm trees, flowers, and greenery.

caught up again.

great pics and updates.

Hey, Scott!
I'm glad you got to see a parade you have never seen.

I hope Disney has plans to return some Disney Stores to us in the future. I'm sure they have logical reasons for taking them out, but I'm not happy with their logic. :sad1:

******************************

Well, guys, it is Monday again. Not my favorite day of the week, but if we can hang in there, another weekend will greet us soon! :goodvibes

Everybody keep Henry in your thoughts and prayers. I saw on Brook's FB that he has RSV. She said he'll be fine after another day or two, but you know he is not our active, smiling Henry right now. Hopefully, he can sleep through the rest of it and be up and at 'em soon.

Also, keep k_reile in mind as she is in WDW experiencing Caleb's first trip! :cheer2:

You guys that are under snow banks, I feel bad for you. I have seen pictures, and although it is pretty, I know it gets old fast. I like our infrequent and always exciting snows down here.

Have a Marvelous Monday, all!
Count your blessings one by one, and you'll find yourself counting for quite a while! ::yes::

Sorry about your Disney Stores closing! I was really upset when ours closed, although it was probably a good thing - I hardly ever go to the mall anymore so I save a lot of money :goodvibes

We have a short week at school then 4 days off :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Have a GREAT week!

Very true. There are even blessings in such a day as Monday............... I woke up this morning, I had a roof over my head, I had breakfast to eat, clothes to wear (and that's not just a blessing for me, but everyone else as well ), a car to drive (even if it is going to work), and on and on and on. Sometimes it's hard to believe that Mondays are full of blessings too, but they are! Have a fabulous one Memom!!!!!:lovestruc

Good morning MeMom and gang. I loved catching up with you and the girls. Looks like you had a great visit. Brooklynn is so funny and Bella just makes you want to squeeze her. She looks so happy all the time. Aren't we lucky to have these babies? We woke up to a surprise this morning.
snow006-1.jpg

Six inches of snow and it's still coming down. We were not expecting this snow. It's beautiful. The one last week was mostly sleet and ice. This is the good fluffy kind that kids love. Good for snowballs and snowmen. We haven't had this kind of snow in several years it's great.

I tried to resize it, but it's still small. I used photobucket. What size do you use?

By the way...I'm not a big Cake Boss fan, but they will be at Disney tonight. 8 central on TLC.

It is probably best that the store is leaving. I'm sure it will help in my attempts to save money.

Hooray for a short work week! :cheer2:
They were predicting a little ice and snow here for tonight. We'll see.

If we got another snow day... it could be great week. ;)

We were reading a story about places that did not have clean running water. I think it is a blessing to have clean water to drink and to have those nice hot showers and clean dishes. :)

I feel extremely blessed to have all these sweet little Disney kids around here, and there are many more to come!

I'll have to see your picture at home. We don't get many pictures on the school computers. Maybe what you had today is what we'll have tonight.

Jill will have to brief you on the photobucket stuff. I know very little except putting pictures on the report.

I have to remember that Disney Cake Boss show. I have seen it advertised, but the guy looks kind of ornery to me, and I don't enjoy that kind of entertainment. I will try to watch it since it is Disney, of course.

Supposedly, Samantha Brown has four new Disney shows coming up. Let me know if you hear anything of those.
