Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Disney Stores are a little bit of 'the magic' right here at home.

How could they put these sweet little guys out of a home?

Feb2010030.jpg

My sweet babies.

If you are guessing that a good number of these Ariel girls ended up on the floor, you are correct!

Feb2010040.jpg

We did pick them up and put them back in a nice little row again.

I told Brooklynn to go tell Mommy it was time for us to go back to Disney World.

She said, "Well, I'm watching a movie right now." :rotfl:

That girl loves her Disney movies!

How can we escape to Neverland?

Feb2010051.jpg

Where can we find cool mugs from which to drink our hot chocolate?

We will miss you, Belle and Ariel!

Feb2010047.jpg

Keep smiling, Mickey. Maybe you will return to us someday.

After the Disney Store, we went over to the play area for a few minutes.

As we left the mall, I saw this trunk and had to take a picture.
Everyone of you will know why the second you see it.

:hippie:

Then it was on to Chili's for lunch.

During the course of the meal, we learned that our waiter was from Huntsville and came here to go to school at Lipscomb. He knew some of the same people we know from the kids' school. The people who came in and sat behind us were also from Huntsville, so it was Huntsville Day at Chili's.

We went to Party City to get some things for Bella's birthday party, and then it was time for us to part ways.

Bye-bye my sweetest girls! Thank you for spending the day with me.

I guess the solution to our 'no more Disney Store' dilemma will just have to be going to Disney World more often! :thumbsup2

What a bummer about your Disney Store closing. That is sad. We still have one in our area and they have recently re-opened two others near us. But let me tell you the two that they re-opened are AWFUL. They have none of the Disney fixtures, they are small and harsh and so sterile looking. I hate going to them.

I had so much fun looking at the parade pics! :yay:

I am so excitted to know I will see it one day...I want so much to add a countdown.....even though its so far away...:rotfl:

I was trying to figure out your vantage point, thanks for the tip.

We usually watch parades at the begining by Thunder Mountain, I think I will try another spot next time. :)

I wish I would have taken pics of the Disney Store last weekend. Thanks for sharing your special day with us.

Are you going to share pics of what you bought?

I would have loved to get that Mickey earth tee in your pics. :thumbsup2

I hope Bella came away with a plush since she looked so happy playing with them.

So cute that Brooklynn wanted to watch the movie.

I wanted to go to Party City in Syracuse , but never made it.
I've never been in one before.
I will be going back in March sometime so I'll make a point to stop then.

What theme is Bella's first birthday? Is it a surprize?

Lexi has chosen "LisaFrank". It's been fun trying to find stuff, kindove like a scavenger hunt. Not Disney....but very colorful!

I woke up this morning wanting a cinnamon roll and now I want one even MORE!!! Yummy!

Thanks for the Disney fix this morning, it made me want to run out to the mall this afternoon just to go to the Disney store.

I loved the parade pictures they were so colorful.

go colts.

She perked up pretty quickly, though, when she saw some ladies hula-hooping as they walked around the mall.

i'm sure the cinnamon rolls helped with that, too. ;)

I told Brooklynn to go tell Mommy it was time for us to go back to Disney World.

She said, "Well, I'm watching a movie right now." :rotfl:

:lmao:

looks like bella is interested in a presidente margarita. :rotfl:

so, so sorry that you are losing all your disney stores! if you all want to and we have time, maybe we can swing by the one close to me when you come for mary poppins in may. the only problem is that it's really not on your way. i was planning to meet you guys somewhere along I-285 (the circle that goes around atlanta). think of the roads as a V. I-285 is the bottom of the V, I-75 is the left side and I-85 is the right side. i live about 3 minutes from I-85. I-285 meets I-85 at around exit 99. the mall where the disney store is is located at exit 115 on I-85 (i'm at exit 137 so i go right by here anyway). so that's about 16 miles out of the way for you. of course i don't mind meeting you at I-285, then taking my car back up to the disney store and that way after the show you guys will not have to drive so far. i have all day saturday to do whatever, so anything is fine with me! i will leave that up to you guys. the show starts at 2:00 and i figured we'd meet for lunch at around 11:30 just so we'd have plenty of time to get to the theater (downtown atlanta is always a nightmare logicistically). so we could possibly go beforehand if you wanted. just depends on how early you guys want to leave. we have plenty of time to decide! :)

I wish I still lived in Auburn so I could join y'all at Mary Poppins.

My SIL lives in ATL so I am very familiar with it.

I know you will have a great time! :goodvibes

Seriously the punishment to them for closing BOTH your disney stores should be to give you some of the props from the top of the store. You know so you can have a little disney in your house at all times! :rotfl2:
Glad you were able to get in some girl squeezing.:grouphug:

What a devastating loss! I feel so bad for you!:sad1: We don't get to go to a Disney store very often. The closest one is an hour away, but everytime we go to that town, we always go to the store. You are right. It is a little taste of Disney at home. I always get that warm fuzzy feeling when I'm in there. We may go there in the next few weekends. If so, I'll take a few pictures for you. That's the best I can do to ease your pain.:sad2:

There is also a Disney Store in Myrtle Beach that we visit when we are on vacation. We might get to go there in June. I actually think they have 2 stores there. But I like your solution. Just go to WDW more often!

Thanks for the Disney shopping trip! Sorry that you are losing your stores, but I do like your solution!
The girls looked like they enjoyed that shopping and eating! The spring clothes looked adorable, did you take anything home?
How fun to see a monkey at the mall!

Will you be putting pictures on Facebook or Twitter? That will be a good way for a lot of people to share in on your fun.

Oh good idea!

I'm sorry about your Disney Stores :sad2:

I'm about to leave the house to go somewhere besides the doctor for the first time in almost a week! I've been  all week, but I'm MUCH better now. I'm heading to my aunt and uncle's house, and I might get to see Caleb! Who just started walking!!! I can't believe it! Kazin's about 2 months older and he hasn't started yet!

Have a good Sunday!

Great updates! I was several days behind. I loved the parade pictures, it looks so fun! Glad you were able to spend the day with the girls.

I need to get back to cleaning because we are having people over for a Super Bowl party. GO COLTS!!!!!

Looks like a fun day with the girls! I'm so sorry about your Disney stores. I was at the mall yesterday and went to the Disney store and took pictures to share and then my dd needed my camera for a scavenger hunt bday party! She deleted all my pictures!! Thank goodness the memory card wasn't in there with Disney pictures!
Too funny about Brooklynn's response about going to Disney!

Thanks for the wonderful parade pics MeMom!! I love the bright colors of it all!!
Glad you could spend the day with your girls but sad about the Disney stores.
It looks like they had some really cute things. The closest one we had (20 min) was small & did not carry a lot of things. It has been closed for over a year now. I do all my Disney shopping online now. (or when we take our trips & buy at Disney).
Brooklynn looked like she was really enjoying the movie & Bella looked like she was loving all the stuffed toys!!

That was a very bittersweet update! It was sweet because you got to spend time with your 2 little girls, and again sweet because you were able to go to the Disney store. Then it got sad...starting with saying goodbye to the Disney store, and then saying goodbye to your sweet Brooklynn and Bella. That must not have been a very car ride home.:sad1: Hopefully you played a Disney CD to cheer you up!

I need to make sure that I do not take my Disney store for granted. As far as I know we will not be losing ours. I was just in there the other day and it just makes me happy being in that store- even if I have nothing to shop for.

Hope you are having a nice Sunday, we are neither Saints nor Colts fans. If we had to choose we would favor the Colts winning as we are NY Giants fans...so we will go with the Manning theme!

So very, very, very sad that both your Disney stores are closing. :( Although if it means more Disney trips, it might have a silver lining after all.

Lunch at Chili's sounds delightful! I am so hungry right now perhaps I should go make dinner.

It is not cool that they took BOTH of our stores away!

I had to go back and look at this very close to see if you had hidden Bella in there like ET! :rotfl2:

Denise

I thought about it, to be honest, but there were other little kids around, so I didn't want to give them any of my mischievous ideas. :rolleyes1

I didn't buy anything. I am on a strict cash only budget right now. Jill did get some stuff. Maybe she'll take pictures and give you some more Disney happiness.

Bella is having a Winnie the Pooh theme. pooh: We are having fun looking at ideas.

Can't wait to see Lexi's birthday stuff. When is her big day?

I was looking at the Cinnabon menu. I'm thinking the caramel pecan ones are sounding pretty scrumptious right now!

I will no longer be able to say that. Waaaahhh!

Glad you enjoyed the parade pictures. I wish I had gotten a good shot of Tiana and Naveen.

Especially Naveen. ;)

Yes, the cinnamon rolls definitely helped.

We'll talk closer to time. We'll probably be ready for another Disney Store fix by then, so it might be worth it to go a few minutes out of the way for a short visit.

We're going to have a good meet. It would be nice for lots of other Disers to get to come, too. How often do you get to Atlanta?

I was absolutely dying to ask them if I could purchase some of the 'big figs', but I knew the answer already.

If you could see my extra back room, you might think I already have enough Disney stuff to satisfy anybody for a lifetime. :rotfl:

I smooch those girls often when I am with them. Bella was laying on my shoulder in the car right before I left just being a snuggle bunny. Brooklynn is just so fun and funny to talk to. I love being around them!:love:
