Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Wonderful update. I love the pictues of the parade. It looked like a beautiful day.

A Disney parade is such a good way to start out a Saturday. :lovestruc The gingerbread men are so cute!

Have a good day with your girls! I'm going to my last day of work before vacation in a bit!

What a fun parade! :goodvibes I don't think I've seen pictures of that one before. And it looks like a beautiful day!! :)

What an awesome parade! Can't wait to see what else the MK day has in store for you guys!

What a wonderful view of the parade you had!!!! ANd I loved seeing the parade again!! Great weather it seemed! Your videos I had to go back and see too, and yup that also got me going all over again!!! HOW MUCH FUN IS DISNEY AT CHRISTMAS!!!!???? It is just breath taking!!!! :santa:

Thanks for sharing!!! :goodvibes

I love seeing the Christmas parade during the day. We saw it at MVMCP which was at night. I can see so much more detail in your pictures than I remember at the party. I LOVE the reindeer behinds! And don't you love the smell of cinnamon when Clarabell comes by in her kitchen! It's those details that make it so special!

It snowed here again today (great big, huge flakes, so pretty) so I love seeing your Christmas pictures. Puts me in the mood for the holidays all over again. :santa:

Jill will be on here (hopefully soon) to make an extremely important addition to the report. As I was putting up the parade pictures, I kept thinking in my mind that this was the morning we saw Tiana and Naveen and then saw the parade, but I didn't have any Tiana pictures. I just followed what was loaded onto photobucket and figured I was wrong. When I was with Jill today, she said that I was right, and the pictures were all on her camera. I had the video. Anyway, now that I am no longer confused, she will be here to put up the very special and anticipated meeting between Brooklynn and Tiana.

I quite like starting my Saturday with a parade! :lovestruc The princesses are all so pretty in their Christmas dresses -- I think I like Cindrella's dress is my favorite! Have a great day with the girls, MeMom. I am off to run errands in a little bit and try to get my house in order.

I just get giddy when I see all the princesses dancing with their fellas in the castle show. I do think Cinderella's dress is so pretty, and they did a great job with Tiana's too. It is beautiful!

I did have fun with the girls. We just met out in Cool Springs to shop and eat. It wasn't long enough, but even if we had stayed all day, it wouldn't have been long enough.

I loved the parade! When do they start showing it during the day a few days before Christmas or beginning of December?
I love the Toy Store float! We just watched the first movie last night for Disney night! It's been a while so no one really remembered it. How cute are those gingerbread men!?!?
Have fun with the girls today!:lovestruc

I am not sure, but just a bit after Thanksgiving, I believe.

The gingerbread men are so fun, and so are the soldiers.

We are Toy Story fans and are so excited about the new movie coming out in June!

Wow you were busy this morning! That was such a great update! Your pictures are really beautiful, I know you have probably mentioned it before but can I ask what type of camera you use. I am currently using a Canon Elph which I love but I never get pictures that look like that!

A parade is a beautiful way to start a Saturday...and it is not so nice here in NC today!

Canon PowerShot SX120IS
I just shoot and shoot and get a few lucky ones in a big batch. ;)

It is cold and wet and dreary here. That doggone northern groundhog was right, I'm afraid. :sad2:

it's part of what makes it "disney" to me!

i've never been a huge cindy fan but this was one of the great memories of our trip in december 2008. the carriage stopped right in front of us for about 30 seconds and cinderella looked right at anna and waved to her. anna turned into a 5yo girl and was just giggling and happy. it was so cute!

i agree! SUCH a great parade. it was one of the highlights of our christmas trip and i can't wait to see it again. i loved how chip and dale were having a snowball fight when they went by. and how the gingerbread men smelled so yummy! the toy soldiers were my favorite part, i think! but it was all so great. your pictures make me want to go watch the video i have. thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

That's what Walt Disney had in mind, I think, when he started all this. :thumbsup2

Thank heavens for youtube when we need some Disney fun! I watched some surprise Disney proposals on one of my snow days and cried right along with the people on the videos. :)

Wonderful update. I love the pictues of the parade. It looked like a beautiful day.

It was a great parade and a beautiful day. It is nice to watch a parade in the cooler months. You don't have the memory of standing there all hot and sweaty and yucky.

Wow, the parade looks like it was good! And you had such a nice day for it! :cloud9:

It was good. So much detail. Even though Christmas was over, we were still in the midst of the holiday fun!

Glad we could start out your last work day in a good way. I look forward to seeing many good pictures from you very soon! :dance3:

You need to see it in person someday! :santa:

We're actually going to go backward instead of forward, as you saw in my previous message.

It is much, much fun!

I just love looking at other people's pictures of things, too. Everyone shoots different things and different ways, and I so often see things I never noticed.

It's been snowing lightly here most of the day, but we're not getting any accumulation. The ground has warmed up a bit, thankfully. If we're going to have all this cold and snow, we might as well just keep doing Christmas over and over until it's springtime! :goodvibes

The Christmas Parade was so fun to see. Cannot wait to see the Tiana pics and video. Hope you are having a fun day with your girls!

How was your day? Are the girls staying overnight?
The only part of that parade we got to see was the tail end, next year, I'm staking out a spot and seeing the whole thing!
It looks so wonderful!
Looking forward to your next update!

Fantastic pictures... what a great viewing spot! MeMom, that was so much fun... I felt as if I had been able to watch the parade in person! :cloud9: Thank you!

Kathy

Great pics! Love the parade pics :) We leave in 11 days! Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm still reading and i'm still here!

Maybe she'll have a chance to get them up today or tomorrow. It was really bothering me about where that meeting had disappeared to, but I remembered after she said something that John was doing pictures and I was doing video so we could get it all in.

We had a fun day. Went to the mall, looked for stuff for Bella's party, and ate at Chili's with a gift card one of my students had given me for Christmas. :)

I think I was typing on your report while you were typing on mine. :upsidedow

Jill just met me at the mall on the other side of Nashville and then went back home when we were finished.

We like watching the parades from back near Hall of Presidents. :)

youtube it sometime, too, so you can hear the music and see the action. That is so much better than my pictures. I am glad you enjoyed seeing them, though. It was very crowded that day, as you can tell by the pictures!

hey gang! Wish I could keep up with you all but things have been busy. I still try to get in to check up on you all from time to time.

Your parade pictures were so bright and fun! I can't wait to see that parade next year. I'll remember that spot when we're there!

We had some similarities today-snowy here (but no accumulation), cold, dreary. I am so ready for spring!! On the plus side-we had lunch at Chili's also! No Disney store for us though, unfortunately.:sad2:

Looking forward to the Tiana meet and greet. I bet Brooklyn was so excited! I think Tiana's dress is gorgeous.

Glad you had a good day with Jill and the girls.:goodvibes

The parade looks so different in the daylight! I can see a lot more of the float details than I could at night!

We're all glad you are still here, Dad! :dance3:
We miss having you and Ma around, and we miss hearing about Declan, but we understand about life calling us away sometimes. I am sad to know you don't have a trip planned this summer, because we will miss your pictures. I know you'll be happy to get your home repairs done, though.

You will enjoy the parade! :goodvibes

It was just a perfectly yucky day here weatherwise, but the food and the company were both awesome! Jill had Monterey chicken, and I had a grilled chicken sandwich. It was very good. Jill bought several things at Disney Store while I just walked around watching the girls and soaking in the last breaths of Disney I will have for a while. :sad1:

Yes, in the daylight you can see the details on the floats more. Isn't it such a fun parade?

I was so blessed yesterday to be able to spend some time with all of my sweet girls.

We met at Cool Springs Galleria, which is between my house and Jill's. I was already getting shaky as I drove out there in anticipation of seeing them. I miss them so much anyway, and after seeing the Crystal Palace videos again, I was ready for some big time baby smooching!!!

My first two pictures will surprise you. They are not of the girls. We stopped at Cinnabon, because you know that Jill and Brooklynn are cinnamon roll fans. I noticed these hanging at the Cinnabon shop and thought it was a good way to document what was happening at the time of this trip.

Brooklynn still had a little bit of a sad face because she had slipped and fallen in a water spot by the table.

Feb2010011.jpg

She perked up pretty quickly, though, when she saw some ladies hula-hooping as they walked around the mall.

After wiping the sticky cinnamon goodness off of little fingers and faces, we headed to the Disney Store.

On the way, we met a monkey.

Feb2010012.jpg

Brooklynn got to choose a rock to keep.

Feb2010013.jpg

I was too busy laughing at Bella watching the monkey to read much about this summer camp program, but it looks like it would be something the girls would really enjoy when they get old enough.

We had come to say goodbye to yet another Disney Store, and we were not happy about it. We lost both of our stores in this mass cut!

Come on, Disney, be a good sport and give us back at least one store!!!
