Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

this is probably the last time I will be on before we leave. we ended up leaving our flights alone so we will still fly out on Sat @ 8:15am. the lady at southwest did not think we would have a problem with that much snow.

My brothers flight out of pittsburg was already canceled as of last night...so while I was on the phone with the lady at southwest (who was great by the way---couldn't have been more helpul) she ended up getting my brother and his family on our flight. so they will be flying with us now...

So lets pray we make it out of columbus with minimal delay! Have a good week and I will tell Mickey hi from you! :cool1:

I thought of you as soon as I woke up and wondered if you got things worked out last night. Get out of 'snow town' and down to better weather!

Have a great time, and we look very forward to hearing about Caleb's first trip to the magic!!! :dance3:

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys! I've been watching the weather and it looks like things should be ok. Have a great trip!

Memom,

I love your group picture. It is so fun to have all the family together. On our family trip we were separated a lot, but we had all our meals together. The meals were my favorite part of the trip.

I can't remember who I texted during that time, but I did text someone so that could report to you guys where we were and what was going on. I always enjoy knowing where DIS friends are when they are there. It brings it a little closer to me for a minute.

I love live updates. I especially loved them since you were texting me some! :) I will be texting you in March, so your duty will be to update on my PTR!

Wonderful updates MeMom! Love all of the shopping pictures....I certainly don't need any more bags but I really like those totes! :thumbsup2
Loved Snow White playing with Bella. :goodvibes
Your picture of the big clock and your picture description saying "The time is now" really made me laugh. A lot :rotfl2:
Bella in the tv at your "secret place" adorable!!
(I was really behind :sad2:)

Hi -- all caught up again :thumbsup2
Good Luck Jill.. I hope all goes well.
Our short trip to Disney was awesome. We went to Epcot... there are virtually no lines in January.

My upper management just gave me the go ahead to book a conference at the Grand Californian in April. I will finally get to go to DisneyLand.

I am hoping we can get another update soon. I am in need of some pictures of warm, sunny, blue skies with some palm trees and maybe a pool thrown in! :thumbsup2 They are saying we could get another 3-6 inches of snow tomorrow. It's supposed to rain A LOT tonight and change over tomorrow some time-but right now there are flurries.

We don't either. This past June we headed to Akershus for an early dinner. Right as we were approaching, the bottom fell out of the sky. Rained hard during our meal but by the time we came out the storm had passed. As we continued around WS, DH and I kept commenting about the lack of crowds...:confused3 When we got to the American pavilion we were chatting with the KidCot CM and he made the comment "I'm glad you guys decided to stick it out with us given what's going on.." We were confused and I figured he meant the storm so I said something about it being summer, in FL, and no rain was keeping me away from Disney. His face changed and said that wasn't what he was talking about. He finished my kids' passports and we sent them over to the mask station. Then he whispered that Micheal Jackson had died. He told us that so many people started leaving the park they had to call in/move some CM's to trams and parking. While I know it was sad/tragic, I couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that so many folks left. I think Farrah Fawcett died either that night or the next day as well but I don't think she got the attention MJ did.

Ummm, Disney is expensive. We all put a lot of time and effort into planning our trips...why in the heck would you leave if MJ died?? I don't get that....maybe if we were getting bombed (God forbid) or something...I can't figure that out either :confused3

Here is video from Monday the 28th. I still have to load my pictures from Tuesday and the video from that day as well but it has taken 4 hours to load all of this to photobucket. Hope you all enjoy!

The castle show. We watched it from right outside Crystal Palace while waiting for our ADR.

Crystal Palace

Castle Lighting (Enjoy Erica!)

These videos were awesome....I love how Eeyore tapped Bella till she giggled then he giggled :rotfl2:.
And the Castle lighting made me cry and I wasn't even there...can you imagine if I were there??? I would become a melted mess :scared:

Hey MeMom loving the pictures. I always love seeing Brooklynn and Bella. I wish Ty would go to sleep as easy as Bella. He will be 10 months old next week and has never slept all night long. But, I wanted to share a video I took of Ty when he started walking a couple of weeks ago. He still doesn't have teeth yet, plenty of hair no teeth.:) By the way if you have your sound on. Pay no attention to the growling he's loud.:lovestruc

I just saw that on Facebook and made a smarty pants comment.

He and Margot both have Bella beat on the walking. She's probably contemplating just going straight into running! :rotfl:

For anyone keeping up with Caleb's first Disney trip, they are having to switch flights, fly out tonight to Tampa, and drive into Orlando tomorrow.

I guess it got worse than expected? I'm keeping up with her on FB.

We all have different likes and dislikes and sleeping styles, etc., so it is just understood that we do whatever makes us happy, and when that is the same thing with others, that's great. We usually try to do one or two big meals together, and then we sometimes gather out by the pool or in the room and just eat food court food, too. I do enjoy it when we are all together just hanging out.

I will be so happy to see some sunshine and palm trees. If you send pictures to Trent's phone, he can put them on FB, and of course, Dawn and others know how to put them on here, but I don't.

You are like the world's luckiest person when it comes to business trips being close to Disney stuff!!!

Do we get a couple of Epcot pictures from you?

Possibly later tonight or maybe tomorrow night. I am with you on the need for a tropical feeling right now!

It has rained here all day.

I liked that clip, too. I watched it twice last night. :lovestruc

It is beautiful in person, and to hear the crowd ooh and aah just makes it a neat experience.

somehow i missed jill's video but just saw them in the quote above. i LOVE how gentle eeyore was with bella and how she giggled at him! :goodvibes and look at brooklynn go in the parade!!! :thumbsup2

It was a fun night with sweet character interactions, and it's nice to look back on it and relive those precious moments. It will be so much fun when you take Margot for the first time. Just watching her as she smiles at them will be pure joy. You temporarily lose all sense of anyone else being around - you just get totally caught up in your own moment.

The guys wanted to ride the other mountains next, so we went toward another land. As we walked, we were entertained.

I love all the little 'side' stuff Disney World gives the guests - the bands, singers, piano players, street shows, etc.

The guys went on to ride Splash and Big Thunder, and Jill's bunch and I staked out one of our favorite parade spots to wait for the Christmas parade.

That is such a great a fantastice parade. The soldiers are awesome as they clomp along together. The floats are detailed and colorful, and a person is just happy to be standing in Disney World during the holiday season watching a parade in general.

Jill will have some different pictures from a slightly different angle that she may want to share. She was on the ground and over to the right of me.

I hope you enjoyed the parade this morning. I'm off to get ready to meet the girls in a little while. Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone!

I quite like starting my Saturday with a parade! :lovestruc The princesses are all so pretty in their Christmas dresses -- I think I like Cindrella's dress is my favorite! Have a great day with the girls, MeMom. I am off to run errands in a little bit and try to get my house in order.

I loved the parade! When do they start showing it during the day a few days before Christmas or beginning of December?
I love the Toy Store float! We just watched the first movie last night for Disney night! It's been a while so no one really remembered it. How cute are those gingerbread men!?!?
Have fun with the girls today!:lovestruc

Wow you were busy this morning! That was such a great update! Your pictures are really beautiful, I know you have probably mentioned it before but can I ask what type of camera you use. I am currently using a Canon Elph which I love but I never get pictures that look like that!

A parade is a beautiful way to start a Saturday...and it is not so nice here in NC today!

it's part of what makes it "disney" to me!

The Princess of all Princesses.

i've never been a huge cindy fan but this was one of the great memories of our trip in december 2008. the carriage stopped right in front of us for about 30 seconds and cinderella looked right at anna and waved to her. anna turned into a 5yo girl and was just giggling and happy. it was so cute!

i agree! SUCH a great parade. it was one of the highlights of our christmas trip and i can't wait to see it again. i loved how chip and dale were having a snowball fight when they went by. and how the gingerbread men smelled so yummy! the toy soldiers were my favorite part, i think! but it was all so great. your pictures make me want to go watch the video i have. thanks for sharing! :goodvibes
