Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

The 2010 ornaments made me smile. Can't wait to pick one out. I love to shop, but I am pretty sure WDW shopping is my favorite! Love all the pictures!

Oooooh! Shopping shopping shopping! I love it! I love those Mickey's Christmas Carol displays! I don't remember seeing them last year, I wonder if they're new! And I love strolling through MK with you too! Only 94 more days until get to do that again! But until then I love living vicariously through your photos! :)

Oh yeah Jill! Your doppleganger was in my store today! It was so odd! This lady comes up to my register with a few pairs of kids shoes and I looked up to say hello and did a double take! I thought you might want to know you had a twin running around Canada!

So true!!

I saw the special on HGTV where they were talked about how they made the ornaments for the MK tree. Incredible!! Now that I am seeing the tree in your TR, I am even more impressed. That Christmas Carol window is awesome. I love how Disney really makes you feel like you've stepped inside the movies.

Hi Brooklynn! :happytv::banana::wizard::yay::dance3::cheer2:popcorn:::rotfl2:

Love your pictures of the Partners statue!! Great shots! I didn't take the time to enjoy the window displays this trip but now I wish I would have!

Balloons with Christmas decorations over them are even better. :santa:

IMG_2156.jpg

The Mickey's Christmas Carol window displays are very neat, and the Christmas decorations all over the Magic Kingdom just make the place even more magical, but this is my favorite picture of them all! Balloons and Christmas decorations just make me giddy!!!

No Mary Poppins in our neck of the woods though

Can you go to Charlotte? It will be in Charlotte beginning August 26th. I've got tickets for my DD, Hannah, and I to see it on Sunday, September 6th.

MeMom: Love the shopping pics as always. Main Street just looks beautiful I hope to see the Christmas decorations one of these days. The Chrismas Carol decorations were awesome! I really liked seeing Jiminy Cricket peeking in the window. The close up of the partners statue is excellent. :thumbsup2

I love the Mickey's Christmas Carol displays. That's the first Christmas movie I ever remember watching and I still love it.

Your pictures of the "partners" statue are amazing. All of your pictures are, but those are my favorites. I am so excited to be back in Disney -- I really need to be there and I'm so excited to be going back soon. :goodvibes

It's a sign-you posting your Xmas Pics just now that is - see even though we are not going to Disney this year- I keep telling myself that, but I don't truly believe it- I called Disney just for fun to see if we had a pin- and we did! But it was for the stinky gift cards- they are stinky to us because we don't have AP's and always add the dining- so what I really need is a 40% code- not asking too much ;)! anyhow I priced for May just to see and it is way more than we want to do right now sooooooo after seeing your xmas pics I will beg and plead with DH to go for the holidays. I think he will budge on that because hopefully by then I will be back at work and we will have had an 18 month break from Disney by then :To cheer myself up today from the not going to Disney blues I did 2 wonderful things: #1 - I bought myself the Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World book with my Borders 33% off rewards code- I will let you know how it is if you don't already have it. The second thing....and this was also my mothers day gift- my girlfriends and I bought tickets to Wicked- which is coming to Raleigh in May- the same time that we normally would go to Disney- so it should help to take my mind off of it. I have always wanted to see it and after reading Punkins NY TR it made me wish I had seen it when I still lived in NY- so when I found out it was coming here I was soooo thrilled! No Mary Poppins in our neck of the woods though :confused3 which I believe you will all be doing this spring?

Again- your christmas pics are wonderful and have got me sooo excited about going at that time of the year- I know that there are many many many many more pics to follow and that will only make me want to go more! I hope you have a close up of the Pop Tree as I too am curious as to what the ornaments could be?

I don't think you would be disappointed in a holiday trip. If you can manage to squeak out a few days earlier in December when it is decorated but there are fewer people, that would be to your advantage. I have to operate pretty much around a teacher's schedule, unless I cheat out a little.

Did you see the close-up of the Pop tree? It's all retro/classic stuff.

What a wonderful update! Love the gingerbread house...so cute!!
And oh how I love pecan pie! Mmm mmm!!
Jiminy is so cute in the window! He's just peeking right out there! :goodvibes
Let's see....I also really liked that shirt in the Emporium with Walt and Mickey...so cute :)
When I saw your close up of Walt and Mickey I think I got a little something in my eye ;)
Thanks for all of your wonderful pictures of the decorations and the stroll down Main Street!

Tracy

Isn't Jiminy Cricket just a cutie? He's one of my Disney favorites.

That statue becomes more meaningful to me the older I get, because that man and his dream of creating a place where families can go and have fun together and just let loose and be a kid again has brought so much joy to my life.

Brooklynn wants to say hello!

:laundy: - laundry one

:rotfl: - pink rolly one

:wizard: - Hollywood Studios one

:scared1: - the silly blue thing one that pops his hair up.

:dance3: - dancing ones

pirate: - the pirate one

:beach: - umbrella one

:rockband: - the drum ones

:eeyore: - and MeMom's favorite E-War

I love that you are a DIS girl now, Brookie!

Hello Brooklyn and Jill

 :3dglasses

:woohoo: :bride: :cheer2: :cheer2: princess:

:flower3:
Back at ya !!!!

What are you cheering and woo-hooing about? Is it that new trip you are about to plan with your newly-hooked friends? :thumbsup2

i have to agree. i've gotten one 3 years in a row now (including this year) and the pictures just aren't that great. i've seen better pictures on the disboards!

i LOVE the mickey's christmas carol window displays! thanks for posting the pictures of them. i don't remember them being there last year (2008).

:goodvibes i do, too.

As bad as my pictures are, I have some that are at least equally as good. It's still a good calendar, but I think they could have done a much better job. We might get around to doing our planned calendar before the year is up! Until then, Jill, can you print us out another one of those on the Buzz Lightyear site in color?

Yes, I was right! It was you shopping! I can't wait to check that gift shop out!

Yay my favorite park! Where exactly do you go at the MK to get your button? I know we'll have to get a "Just Engaged" one in March and then a "1st Visit" for the little guy in July!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE those window displays! They definately did not have those there when we were there in 2001 for Christmas. How amazing the updates have been!

You get the buttons from a cart outside Guest Relations. You'll see it easily. I didn't get any, but I should have got a general I'm Celebrating! just to add to my others. I was celebrating just being there. I wouldn't have worn it, since I didn't have any major thing to celebrate, but I should have gotten it to have at home. Maybe you could pick me up one of those when you go?

Loved the Christmas Carol window displays. We didn't see those.

It looked like a beautiful day. The sky was so blue.

Must be nice to stroll around MK alone. I'd love to have about an hour to do that one time.

The sky was beautiful!

I do enjoy alone time just going at my own very slow pace and taking pictures. I like to do that when Jill and the girls aren't doing any park time or anything else fun, of course, because I don't want to miss out on any of that, of course.

I love the Christmas Carol window displays. Thanks for letting me tag along while you shop.

Any time. :thumbsup2

Everytime we go, we see so much, but there is still so much to see.

This trip we made in the Emporium but missed all the displays outside the Emporium. It was during Spectro once and too crowded to make it up Main street on the outside.

The Morning we went we were busy doing Photopass pictures all the way up main street. On the way out we took the train to the front.

Building that case to return. Like I have to convince anyone here on the boards.

I am meeting my friends tomorrow to go over Photopass pictures from our trip. I fully expect to discuss the next trip we are taking together, and I will not be the one to bring it up. They are hooked.

I got a voice mail a week after we returned with " last week at this time we were ....." They are hooked I tell ya.

Keep us posted on the planning. Sounds like you could have lots of girl trips coming in the future. That could be a great thing!

Yay! You're in a park! And Magic Kingdom at that!

How was your knee on this trip?!

Much better than October. A few issues now and then, but a thousand times better than the summer, and noticeably different than October, I have found the key to walking normally is small strides. If I try to go big, it pulls, and sometimes it pulls for no apparent reason anyway, but for the most part, it's doing very well. :)

I can't wait to see it at Christmas next year!

I really like that 2010 bag that was in one of the first few pictures. Did you happen to see that anywhere other than Pop?

Hi to Brooklyn!:flower3: Cute as a button she is!!:goodvibes

Yes, that bag was at many places.

I love seeing the fall decorations and the Christmas decorations, too. I want to go in October and then maybe again at Thanksgiving.

Oh, Jiiiiilllll!?!?!? Are you reading and making notes?

The 2010 ornaments made me smile. Can't wait to pick one out. I love to shop, but I am pretty sure WDW shopping is my favorite! Love all the pictures!

I believe Disney shopping is my favorite, too, even though the bulk of it is window shopping!

Yeah, I guess since they did the Christmas Carol movie this year, they played up on that.

94 days sounds so much nicer than 162. :sad1:

Jill, wouldn't you love to see your twin?

popcorn:::rotfl2:

The windows were fun to see, and the tree just speaks for itself. So big with huge ornaments that take you back to childhood.

Love your pictures of the Partners statue!! Great shots! I didn't take the time to enjoy the window displays this trip but now I wish I would have!

I like looking at details, of course, so I bery much enjoyed the window displays. Glad you got to see them in the pictures, at least.

It is very pretty dressed up for Christmas. You are going December 2011, is that right?

MeMom: Love the shopping pics as always. Main Street just looks beautiful I hope to see the Christmas decorations one of these days. The Chrismas Carol decorations were awesome! I really liked seeing Jiminy Cricket peeking in the window. The close up of the partners statue is excellent.

I hope you can see them, too. The pictures can't bring you the joy of the singing and dancing on Main Street, the smell of popcorn and chocolate chip cookies, etc. You need to have the whole Christmas experience for yourself.

I love the Mickey's Christmas Carol displays. That's the first Christmas movie I ever remember watching and I still love it.

I need to be back, too. I am shriveling away already, and we have 23 weeks left as of this coming Wednesday. Can I go 23 more weeks?

I am super excited for you guys! :dance3:

Sorry that I had to use a little of that pixie dust up in order to be under the limit to post. ;)

I love seeing Main Street thru your eyes! Wonderful pics of the windows!

More windows and more shopping yet to come. This is just Day One. :)

Beautiful photos....What sort of camera? (I'm in the market for a new one! )

Nothing fancy, but I am happy with it. Jill picked it out for me. It's a Canon SX120IS. It is very simple to use, and it takes good pictures if I am able to keep it still and steady.

Okay, I just zipped through the past ten pages... LOVE LOVE LOVE all the photos!! From going under the arch to the Christmas windows at MK... seeing your pics got me all excited again all over again!!! I agree it is fun to see your photos!!! Just so much fun... I didn't get a chance to really see those displays!!! :sad2: You were lucky that morning for a little time to yourself! I had that a few nights later which I totally enjoyed... Just gives you time to stop and see the little things...

Wonderful photos, the decorations at Pop were very festive!!! I have never stayed there but I always hear such good things.... I have been eyeing that "Small World" Tee at the Disney store on line!!!! ;)

What an enjoyable post! And I thought your Snowman table was so cute!! :)

Wonderful update! I love your pictures of Walt and Mickey. It's nice to be strolling down Main Street USA!! :)

I have some exciting news....I was talking to mom last night and she was talking about when we could visit yada, yada, and then drops on me: I think we should meet at Disney World in June 2011. We would love to see the kids enjoying themselves! :yay: Sounds great to me!!! I'm ready to starting planning! :woohoo: I didn't think I would ever get them to agree to a trip so this is really exciting for me!

I should have got a general I'm Celebrating! just to add to my others. I was celebrating just being there. I wouldn't have worn it, since I didn't have any major thing to celebrate, but I should have gotten it to have at home. Maybe you could pick me up one of those when you go?

Why yes I'll get you one! Just remind me when it's almost time for me to go! :rotfl:

Hi Memom and Jill: I'm here now! Sorry I've been gone so long. But you know how life is. I'm up to page 22 now. I'll try to get caught up later today. I need to go run some errands now. I'm glad you guys had an awesome trip and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. I have seen some of the pics on FB too. I probably need to friend you sons to see some more. Have a great MLK day and I'll catch up soon. Hopefully tonight!

Wow I have missed a few updates!! Love the pics of Bella:cutie: & the dinner at your house!! Looks like a great time. Good job to all on the gingerbread house!! I think it came out great:thumbsup2 I also have the Jim Shore figurine. I could not resist it (QVC). I also buy the 16 mo. calendar every year. I have it on my door in the hallway. LOVE your shopping pics & ALL the Christmas pics. With my job I will never be able to go during the Christmas holiday:sad2: I am the Tax Collector in my city & the bills go out sometime around Nov 9th & due around Dec. 9th-16th but I never know exactly when they will be due until Nov. so no planning ahead of time!! My DH says when we retire!! I cannot wait that long. Still have about 20 years to go... Anyway I just love seeing all the decorations since I cannot see them in person.
