What do you recommend. He loved barnstormer last year. So now that he is tall enough were thinking of trying BTMR. Is that crazy? Also maybe Soaring. He does not like loud noises and the dark. What rides do you guys think would be good for him?

We were just at WDW Nov 30-Dec 5th.
My son is 2, will be 3 Jan 24th. He was slightly over 40, and we took him on everything but tot (which he insisted he wanted to ride but I said no ;))
The only ride he had scare issues with was Splash. When we were on it "I don't think I can do this" and after "I don't ever want to ride that again" :goodvibes
I didn't want to take him on Splash, but the rest of the crew insisted he'd like it...Mom knows best...
I think BTMR is fine, no real dark/loud noises.
We didn't get to ride Soarin, (did a late start and did TT instead, hoping to squeeze it in when we go back in October.) but as long as your son isn't afraid of "heights" I think he'd be fine.
If he is used to rides, I think he'll ease right into these!

My kids rode everything they fit on but they love rides. Both boys were on Tower of terror at 4!
Soarin is not scary at all, its slow gliding. I would prep ahead that it is darker but you can "fly"
BTMRR is such a great ride. I would try for sure. We have shown kids ride videos if we were unsure(dinosaur) and it helps them to know what to expect. We let them ride what ever they are comfortable with.

My son was just under 3 years old and just over 40". He LOVED Soarin and Star Tours. Was Ok about Thunder Mtn and Test Track. Did not like that big drop on Splash! I did not take him in TT. I thought he would love them all since he is a dare devil, but you may not know until they try a few out.

My daughter is close to that age and loves Barnstomer, Splash Mnt, Thunder Mnt, Mine Train & Test Track. The only one she can do, that she doesn't like is Tower of Terror...she actually hates it and calls it the Terrible Tower (too dark, too fast and too scary).

I was almost sure she would hate Tower of Terror because I know she doesn't like the dark..which is why I am assuming she won't like Space Mnt or Everest. She was also fine with everything she was able to do at Blizzard Beach, but when she can't see she gets scared.

My daughter was 4 when she went on BTMR for the first time. (She had loved Barnstormer the year before also)

When BTMR was over, she was bawling her eyes out! DH and I are getting dirty looks from people around with the accusing eyes of 'how could you force a kid to go on a ride!'. When she finally calmed down enough so she could speak, she cried out - WHY DID IT HAVE TO STOP - MORE MORE MORE!

:yay:
