Rides for larger guests/Plus Sizes [Merged Threads]

Several of the attractions have a ride vehicle outside the queue for people who want to make sure they can fit. Off the top of my head, though, I can't think of which ones.

EE does, but that is the only one I know of. The only roller coasters I have ridden at WDW was Barnstormer and it was fine and BTMRR and I have to sit with DH or I would probably slide around, although I do get some air on a couple of those hills

I've gone on pretty much all the rides at WDW (Favorites being Space Mountain and Mission Space) and I've fit fine. I'm 5'5" and about a size 26 (but working on it - goal is size 18 or 20 by my wedding day next year!). I had never gone on the RnR, because I was kinda scared to even ask. I had a humiliating experience at Sea World on Kraken, where it took 3 people to close the restraint, by which time I wanted to give up. The problem there wasn't so much the size, it was that I had gone on Atlantis and gotten soaked! So a soaked fluffy person trying to get the harness to close didn't exactly work. I appriciate all the good info here!

Almost anyone can fit on RnR, it is very accomodating.

I haven't been to Islands of Adventure or ridden Kraken so I'm not sure if they do this or not but I really think the parks need to indicate which rows for those type of rides have larger seats. I know Hulk, Dragons and Kraken all have them but at my local parks with the same type of rides, the larger seats are in row 5 and there is no indication that there is even a larger seat to begin with so you have people trying to fit in a regular seat. They then can't fit and have to get out and wait for the next train if someone is already in the larger seat and it causes everyone to look. The only coaster I have seen that does it correctly is Talon at Dorney Park. In the station of the coaster, they have signs up for row 4 and 5 that say "Larger seat in this row" so people know to go to those rows if they need the larger seat.

I am about 350 lbs and I was able to ride almost everything. The only one I tried and had to give up on was Soarin' It depends on where you carry most of your weight. I have large hips. The seat belt was long enough, but I didn't fit well between the little seat dividers. Go to the allears.net site and look for the theme parks section. Then go to Attraction Info on left side. Click on Attraction Seating Photo Gallery . They have pictures of all the ride seating. That way, you can kind of see if you might have a problem with any particular ride. It really helped me last year. I also rented a scooter. It made all the difference in the world. If you want to send me any questions, I'll be glad to respond. Go have fun!!!

I just wanted to add that my DH is 325 lbs and he was able to ride everything he wanted to. I was a little worried all for nothing. We just returned from a great trip

I know that Space Mountain and Test Track both have seats discretely behind the scenes. If you ask a CM they will take you back and you can try it away from "prying" eyes. If you do not fit at least in Test Track there was a door close by and you could go on your way with no problem.
