Rider swap question

Have never done rider swap so not sure how this works. 2 adults and one 5 yr old. If we get VQ for Guardians; do we have to include the 5 yr old, even tho she won’t ride or can we get the 2 adults and swap out?

We did swap on Guardians back in September because our 6 year old didn't want to ride. It was easy, CMs were super helpful.

Same we did swap as well no problem, even 1 hour after our boarding group passed
