Ride Swap

Not sure I quite understand it all but in regards to barnstormer - ht requirement is 35" so make doubly sure your son is under that with shoes on. If so, you can fp+ just you, then your son can ride it again with your husband if he wants.

With rider switch, only the people riding first need a fp+. 3 people can ride using the switch and that does not have to be used right away. They're usually good until the end of the month. They do not care who rides on the switch pass.

Hope that helps you.

At this point, I'm only planning to do rider swap for Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain -- both of which we'll ride standby as the crowds are expected to be lower (3 of 10). I saved my FP+ for attractions all 3 of us can do together. Though I'm kind of second-guessing myself about DINOSAUR in case my 5-year-old freaks out.

Can I jump in here and make sure I understand?

My YDS isn't tall enough for space mountain. So we want to rider swap that. So DH, DSD and DD will have fastpass. YDS and I could do FP for splash at same time, and then get rider swaps allowing me, DSD and DD to ride space together?

Why would they give rider swaps out if the non rider would be staying with someone who doesn't have a fp anyway? I just want to be clear so I don't miss riding it too!

You are perfectly fine to jump in, I am still trying to figure out my best strategy and don't think I explained that last message the best way I could.

I have the barnstormer and space mountain.

I was thinking of doing just myself on barnstormer and then DH on space mountain. Can we fast pass that for him? Me ride swap and then get something else?

Second part. I am not even sure I want to change because I don't even know if my son is going to like the barnstormer. Is there a long line here? If I do scenario one, could we ride again later?

3rd part, my friends are joining us and some how managed to get fast passes for space mountain the same time as us. Once we get in the line, can we ride together? There is 6 of us total that would be able to ride. Or do they put you with whoever when you get to the ride. Would ride swapping effect the option to be able to ride with them? Do they count you as a single rider, even if you say you are with them. Can you use the ride swap right then or is there a specific time you have to use it?

Silly me for not thinking this through the first time. By using RS on the coasters and such, we can split our group in half. While the first half retains their original FP, the other half of the group exchanges their FP for a different ride with RS. We take turns with FP/RS combo for the first ride, then the same for the second and so on. For our group of 5, we can technically double or 3FP to 6FP for the day. Sweet! I just set up our week like this and now we have very few headliners where we have to go standby. And for those, we will do at RD. It will be nice to enjoy all of the major of attractions and then be able to coast through everything else for the rest of the day.

Fine how you worked it. 1 FP for Barnstormer (you and son ride). 1 FP for Space. Husband rides (you hold the swap pass). He gets off and you go through FP line with the swap pass. You now still have TWO FP each left (since you just used one each). If Barnstormer doesn't have a long line, just get on the app and change it to something else (if you love space you can do it again, or do splash, BTMR, etc.). A few more good rides there not to miss.

Barnstormer isn't usually very long so if there are two other rides that you'd like to swap on, I'd use it for those and have all 3 do barnstormer together (one of you would be in car behind).

And yes - as long as you are all entering the FP line together for Space you can ride together. 6 is the perfect number as each set of cars holds six people.
