Ride refurbs for January?

My husband and I will be at DL and DCA for 2 days in January. So far online I'm not seeing any refurbishments happening then. Any insight on whether refurbishments will be added between now and then? I've never been to Disneyland but know that January is typically a big refurb month for WDW. Wondering if maybe we just got lucky since it's the Diamond Celebration and maybe they're trying to keep everything running? Thanks in advance!

There are typically refurbs happening in January and February. Both HM and IASW will close at some point during the month (not sure what your dates are). Most will be announced in Nov/Dec likely.

As Girimama33 stated, January is typically a refurb month in DL. IASW and HM will both be down from the 7th (day after Holiday Time is over) for about 2 weeks to take down the overlays.
You might get lucky in that they refurb'd a LOT of rides before the 60th started, and the 60th will still be going on in January, so the refurbs might be less than usual...but I would count on 1 or 2 being down, potentially.
They won't start showing the refurb schedule that far out until Nov/Dec.

Ah, hate that we might miss those two but at least from what I've read they're fairly similar to WDW. We'll be there the 13th and 14th (1 day at DL, 1 at DCA)

Usually HM goes down to remove the overlay and then IASW goes down when HM comes back up. On the 13th IASW will probably be open. There is speculation that Seasons of the Force might start in time for the Star Wars half marathon weekend. If that's the case, and they wait until the Friday there's a chance the Space could be down for that overlay. We don't know if it will really happen in January or how extensive it is compared to Ghost Galaxy. Refurbs are typically announced about a month before and subject to change up until the date they actually start and finish.
