Riddle me this!

Boy, do I know about that. I was all puffed up (actually stretched to the limit) and miserable. To add insult to injury, my girlfriend took me for a ride, just to get out of the house (I was 18 as I recall), and HER CAR BROKE DOWN on a major street. I can remember not knowing where to hide.

Not one of those Hallmark moments, that's for sure.

Wow - your poor girls Bernie!

I know that kind of stuff just is devastating to a 14 year old. I am sure they are both feeling anxious with all the time and effort they have put into this. Sending some pixie dust and good wishes their way. Hopefully they will both be feeling better soon and it will all work out.

Deb - So sorry to hear your mom is not doing well. Hugs. You will be in my thoughts today.

Well... getting excited to go on our trip. Here is some pics of some of the things/places we will be doing this next week.

We will be at the Pacific Ocean on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. This is the only place in the United States with a temperate rainforest. It is truly a beautiful experience to hike amongst the HUGE ancient old growth... covered with growth. It is lush, incredibly QUIET, and there are beautiful rivers and waterfalls around every bend of the trail.

Many of the beaches in this area are "wilderness" beaches which means you must hike to get into them. It is just enough of an effort to discourage really heavy traffic... and they are pristine as a consequence. Making wildlife viewing very good. This is still whale watching season as well.

Staying at a cabin which is part of the history Kalaloch lodge which has been situated here in the Olympic National Forest since 1953.

Just thought I would take you on a short "pre-tour"! LOL! We have been here several times and really love this area.

Laura, are you sure you just can't take us all, I am so wanting to be there. And Dan should be out and about, but of course has to check in with us. What a pal he is.

Dixie, the forest looks so serene, there are so many places in this country that are just awesome, such as our new vacation home on the cape, thanks Marsha!

We woke up freezing, it only 47 here, had to turn the heat on, this after having it in the upper 80s the last 2 weeks. Nature, the cruelest joke. I hope the snow melts for our friends to the north, and we can get back to spring and flowers.

Have a great weekend everyone, I am off to make muffins for one of my employees. He is turning 60 something on Monday, and had the nerve to take the day off, so we will feast with him today. Actually, I won't feast, but I will contribute, I am sticking with this diet 1000%.

Now that Alex has the boards back to normal, I am hoping Mr. J. Cricket will get our angels clip art down to acceptacle byte size and we can once again show our colors. It seemed to be the animation that was the byte hog.
