BWAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!!!!

Hello Riddlers! Good thing I got this riddle right away, because I've got to get moving early today. Staff meeting at 9:30 and a co-workers mother died so visitation is this afternoon. I'm probably not going to get much work done today.

My DS started playing French Horn this year. He keeps telling us he doesn't want to play any more, but I want him to stick with it another year or so. He was laying it on thick the other day: he told us that if he wouldn't have to practice every day, he would have more time to spend with his family. After I laughed at that, I sent him off to practice!

Have a great day!

OH, geez, Lars......and I was looking forward to him playing an instrument!

DH plays guitar. I keep hoping DS will head in that direction. I know it's not a band instrument, but we certainly have enough of them around the house!!!!

Do I dare say NO to drums????

Cello??? Drag around a cello????

Clarinet??? I like that idea!

Piccolo! Even better!

Well, I was going to post a Scotty quote.

But, man oh man - I'd likely get deleted and banned!!!

Gail, I know what you mean.....that TV screen must have been, well, messy.

Morning all! pm sent.
is this Canadian dollars or American dollars?
Val that would make it too easy, because then, each person would get exactly $2.00 :p But can't beat those gas prices yesterday. 64.9 is what I paid! ;)

My kids have played different instruments. DS#1 learned through the Suzuki style at 5 and played violin (which apparently he hated and I made him play), and percussion when he hit band. DD#1 played trombone, French horn, trumpet and clarinet. DS#2 went to an orchestra school, and played violin DD#2 goes to the same school and chose cello, and DD#3 starts next year (grade5) and has told me that she wants to play the viola. I love strings! I can play Twinkle, twinkle from when the first learned Suzuki style.

Anyway, it is a beautiful day here today. We'll enjoy it while it lasts because I think that there is rain forecast for the weekend. Have a great one!

LIKED SCOTTY

Man another typo I will not live down for a long long long time

hanging head in shame here -

You bet Gina.. the bigger the better.. I have to fit all this antique furniture in never mind all the other stuff.. EEK.. I will make sure it is big enough to host whoever wants to come down and visit.. We could do a progressive dinner... Amid is there.. Glo comes down part of the time.. who else is on the Cape??? sounds good to me.. :)

I don't know about the riddle, Gina - but old Scotty doesn't seem to be moving much......;) :teeth:

Sorry to hear about your co-workers Mom, LK....

Better rain than snow, Debbie! :)

Matt is actually looking to play the drums these days. I think he wants to get into a band. I've still got my old drum kit. We've been slowly putting it back together.

Erin plays viola. Wonderfully too, if I do say so myself. Katie is on her second year of violin.

It is really nice to have music around the house!

Just a quick check in on the riddle for me. I have been up since 3 with, shall we say, Montezuma's revenge?!!!! Not feeling so well. :(

I would vote for a woodwind instrument, since that is what I teach!;) As for drums, Gina... My DD plays drums, and you DO get used to it! In fact, I kind of tuned out the drum set most of the time. The only time I really noticed it was when I was in the kennel, since her room was above the kennel. :p She has had a fairly successful Pro playing career in this area.

Numbers! Why did it have to be numbers???!!!

okay, so it wasn't just me who was confused, dazed, and stunned to learn of what Marla was doing to her TV???

Dear God.. I did work for those pants.........Wow..

I like Scotty too but not enough to do what Marla did... OMG.. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

DD11 just started the drum this year....and well, let's say it is an ongoing battle..

Gina, I may have a drum for you CHEAP.....
I keep telling him to just keep at it for the whole year, and he may like it.......but I'm sick of tripping over it when I go in his room, and then having to shuttle it down to school on Monday's because he "forgot" to take it with him.

Marla - I wonder if any tag fairies are hanging out on the riddle thread today????????????
