hello and happy weekend! Did any of you try to book the Days Inn at the $69 rate yesterday? I was still getting the $116 and I even called them & was told their "promotion" was $116! I think that is a tad too high for a Day's Inn. Anyone know what the other hotels in the area might be like? I saw a Clarion on Expedia for $80?? Any info on that? Still not sure if coming but checking out options!

A girl leaves for a few hours to get a new do & you all have a party without me! Catching up was FUN!!

We will be driving to Riddle-con. It's only about 2-1/2 hours away for us.

Donna - Glo was able to add Thursday, July 31st to her reservation for the $69.95 rate - but the Days Inn is sold out of that rate for Friday and Saturday. I would see if the Clarion Inn has the same rate when booked directly through the chain's web site - rather than Expedia. Expredia (I think) makes you pay the full amount now, and they may charge you a fee if you cancel your reservation. Go to www.choicehotels.com - and you'll be able to check rates for all the Quality Inns, Comfort Inns, Sleep Inns, and Clarion Hotels in the Sandusky area. (EconoLodges and Rodeway Inns, too - but I draw the line there!)

**And YES, you can get the $80 AAA rate for the Clarion at the Choice Hotels' web site for Aug. 1 and 2! It is right by the Sandusky Mall - so close to the Days Inn, and it has an INDOOR POOL! http://www2.choicehotels.com/hotelphotos/OH203C.JPG

We just heard from DD's boyfriend. Apparently he broke his ankle before about 2 years ago and it never healed quite right. This was a re-break in the poorly healed area and a sprain on the other side of the ankle. He is in an aircast that is worn inside a shoe so it looks like a go for the big dance next weekend.

DD was talking about how he complains about going to doctors and pain and having blood drawn. She has had experience with these things too. She says,"He is such a wuss!!" I told her that wasn't unusual, all males were like that.

I had better duck and run for cover now.
